    VF tactical front shroud

I want a VF tactical front shroud to complete a marker but have not found one. Anyone out there have a shroud laying around they will lend me so that I could get some dimensions off of it to try to fab something of my own?

Better off diy.... You don't see to many parted out of tacticals

      They definitely seem uncommon

That and you would need the matching front block as well

I have the front block, and the timing rod cover. I think I just need the shroud

I can take some measurements off mine if you like.

Occasionally the shrouds do pop up for sale, they don’t fit eblade solenoids, so if somebody converted their VF-tactical to eblade they have to remove the shroud, I suspect those are the ones that show up for sale.

That would be really great, thank you!

It’s a more complex asymmetrical piece than I recall, mine also had a matching anodized spacer on the left side. Here are some general pics to start:

Thank you so much!!! I did not know about the spacer. Seriously, thank you for taking the time to do this. What gauge aluminum would you guess?

The shroud appears to be 1/16” thick, the spacer is slightly less.

the shroud appears to be cut from one solid piece and then each side was bent up at 90 degrees.

I’ll be honest my ruler is pretty inadequate for getting good measurements, I’d probably need some kind of digital gauge to get good ones.

The more I look at this the tougher I think it would be to replicate without just sending it directly in to a machinist.

Your best bet might be to PM one of the handier/skilled guys on the forum like Doc.

lazer/plasma cut and bent. pretty easy to replicate for the average garage monkey with a drill and angle grinder too

So I think I may create a template off of the measurements that were so generously provided and try to bend it to shape. I am not sure if I will be able to drill those holes in a perfect straight line. not sure how to get those just right.
