Local paintball field had no chronograph nor comprehension of what one was

I remember the first chrono we got in the late 80s.. Its the one where you had to shoot trough 2 small cardboard squares. and the field owner would scream at you if you shot the cardboard section. I can't seem to find a picture of it anywhere on the internet though

There's a local-to-me field that did this. The excuse they gave me was it was the last open play weekend of the year. Not good enough. They didn't even chrono the rentals. I asked where the chronograph was at, and the owner said "I can eyeball it for ya." I pulled out my handheld chrono & walked to the chrono range. He then went on about how he would've got it for me if I asked... When I started shooting he was kinda behind me & called out "260!" To which I sharply replied "270!" (spoilers: it was 270)

And to top it off, his paint buying policy is that you are REQUIRED to buy your first bag at full price ($25), regardless of how much you were going to buy for the day. And it was GI 1-Star the one day I went.

I will not support that chrono behavior or that paint buying policy, which is a real shame considering the fields themselves were excellent. The facility is nice enough that a regional team practices & plays there. But this guy is a jackwagon. If you're curious of the name of the place (central WI) feel free to PM me.
