Update! I played with the Phantom for the first time today. And I had a great time. It was a fun challenge and I really enjoyed getting some eliminations. Makes every kill worth way more. I also enjoyed the play style that it forces you to play I know I couldn’t go one on one with electro guns so I had to move around and create the angles. Definitely needed to remember to hold the pump handle and not having a stock was good and bad. Probably will either try getting a stock or setting up a bottom line with a small tank.

Having something to shoulder the marker is pretty necessary, imho. Unless you're running around with a PGP, or something, a pump just doesn't feel right to me without a stock.

Some of my best memories playing are when I'm the last person left on my team, it's a 1v1 situation, and my opponent has an electro. I still haven't come out on top in that situation, but the rush is unbelievable.

I just bought a 13ci tank and some stuff to run a bottomline. I’m gonna give that a try and see how I like it

Post some photos of your setup when you get it figured out.

You'll have a blast with it. Modified stock class is my favorite (stock class feed w/ 13ci tank is my setup usually).

Feels like the best of both worlds.

Littlle late to this conversation but so glad you decided to go with a pump. I personally delayed playing stock class for 14 years as a open class player. Stock class is a huge part of my play now and love all of pump play options. Welcome aboard and best of luck. Now show others the way and spread the amazing roots of our sport.

If you end up having velocity issues running your phantom with your new 13ci tank, you might need a different regulator on your tank.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but phantoms usually need ~800psi when running HPA. Most 13ci tanks you can buy nowadays aren't going to be close to that with the generic regulator that it'll come with.

I threw a basic ninja reg on one of my 13ci tanks and shimmed it to output ~825psi. Works great on my phantom.

Nice! Sounds like you shouldn't have any issues then.

My field is 290 so I tend to have that issue more.

            Most 13ci 3k are 800psi factory

Yeah I think my HK reg may have been a dud. Have it sitting it a box somewhere now.

I’ve only played it once but I had a lot of fun. It definitely is a challenge and I need to get used to the play style but I am excited to play again. The phantom is definitely a conversation starter. People are very curious about it and I enjoy telling people about the world of pump play.

Tentative setup until I get a normal asa that sits straight. 13ci tank with a tennis ball on the end to add length of pull because the 15rd feedtube was bumping into my face
