Annodizer that can replicate PTP Dust?

Ahoy! Looking for suggestions on an annodizer than can replicate the dusty finish seen on PTP markers, and CCM now that I think about it. I want to get this raw frame done to match my micrococker. Arc already said theirs wouldn’t quite match up.

Why not just have it all done it would match. Do the front block while you’re at it. Dust black is often cheaper to have done. It likely won’t cost you all that much more.

I don’t want this body to be stripped, especially the backblock, it’s already thin enough in places to be concerning

How much material is taken off for re-anodizing? Never had it done before.

Not a ton, but the threads on the backblock are so thin pieces already broke off and you can see the arm through it.

should be easy. for dust, parts just get sandblasted and then annoed as normal

This was done by Arc. The barrel and barrel retaining collet are original PTP anodized, the rest was redone or NOS raw pieces. It’s not exact, but pretty dang close.

That does look good, and helps show what Arc was telling me. It’s got a bit more of a satin sheen than the original. I really want to get that dusty dust.

It seems like real dust finishes are disappearing for the more common nowadays satin finish, does it have to do with how they finish the parts, or what they use to media blast it with I know they use all sorts of stuff for that
      Working...
