So I guess I'm in to mag feed now

Picked up a EMF at supergame. I've wanted to try shooting FSR for a while and got a good deal on it.

I have 3 mags and plan on getting at least 3 more but my big question is carrying them.

I'd really like to carry them on my back, does anyone do this? I really don't like the idea of carrying a bunch of mags on my chest, it just feels like they would really get in the way.

    So what's your experience

I've played with the mag fed guys that do events in New England though I play pump. Most seemed to be running chest rigs for faster mag change and ease of use. Though I suppose depending on where the straps fall you could run something backwards. I believe most 5.56 AR style mag pouches fit the common paintball mag sizes. You could even do a custom molle setup, don't forget to include a mag dump pouch!

HK had one that went on your back just like pods. HK makes me cringe, but they make a great pod pack. I haven’t tried this thing since I don’t do mag fed. But if I did this is how I would run them. Function over form.

I use the carbn on the back one.
It is just like pods. Its dummy expensive. But it is good for sure.

Those are cool they don’t hold them flat like most packs., I bet you can attach them to a regular duty belt instead of the $150 duty belt they sell for it.

I have the same thoughts about HK and just found that pack as well
I love that it's more expensive than any pod pack but sure looks like there's less material/work involved in it

Have a link? I just went to their web page and it wasn't obvious at least

The pouches for it arnt to bad I would put this on a nice duty belt. They get $150 just for the belt to hold it.

I’m cautiously dipping my feet into magfed. I have a battle belt and hip mounting my mag carrier to my right hit as I shoot left handed. Positioning was one, but the mag pouch I bought was way too tight and had to reef on the mag to get it out. Need a bigger sized one. Apparently AK mags work, but M4 is too small?! I’m know nothing about firearm mags. Regardless need larger sized mag holder. And a dump pouch.

Maybe look into m14/fal/g3 mag pouches. They are a fair bit larger than m4 mags and may better accommodate paintball mags.

          Thread from my time experimenting

Played a couple more times with the carbon slots and a dump pouch without issues. Carbon belt doesn't come with the carbon sleeves fyi.

While I only play with my magfed build once or twice a year, I use this

I built this pack with cheap Amazon mag pouches/dump pouches and this Valken molle pack

            https://ansgear.com/valken-v-tac-mol...ll-belt-olive/

If you're looking to hold mags in the style of a pod pack I really recommend this, plus all together I think I spent around 40-60$ish(its been a few years so things prolly raised in price a few $)building the pack, I think they have them in Grey too.

I’ve got several of those belts as well. I use them coupled with WTFidea.com inserts or scorpion pouches

Horizontal 100rd pod pack. I've been shouting this from the rooftops for years now. Otherwise there are plenty of molle battle belts that you can run whatever pouches you see fit. A Type 81 Chinese chest rig would also be a good, cheap option if you did want to try mags on the front.

Honestly.. I have fun at mag fed only events just playing regular and ignoring the "mission based games"

I'll grab a photo of my pack set up which is weirdly tactical but very rooted in regular play styles. I run upside down ak mag pouches on a molle web belt with shoulder straps and a pair of dump pouches and a centrally mounted single pod holder. Allows me to run 12 mags in 6 double stacked "bricks"

As for the marker..... It's a body I designed for my mg100 so very lightweight while retaining top and bottom rails.

In short I look like a cobra bad guy

I've been enjoying playing magfed lately and I have a 3-pouch AR mag belt that's perfect for regular walk on games. I like magfed for the limited paint aspect more than the FSR/tacticool aspect so carrying 70-80 rounds is plenty for me.

What mag holders are those because I like the idea of stacking them like that rather than flat

Hellion360 I went and found the crbn harness, it's out of production and out of stock everywhere. It looks like a super cool setup but also the pack alone was 125 and then you have to put the holders on it. It would likely end up being a 250 setup by the time you hit the field. If I stick with this long term maybe I'll see if I can track one down but I still need more mags to even put in it

The ones I bought aren't there anymore but these look identical if not they're prolly the same just different label/seller

They fit zeta mags perfectly, I'm sure there are others that are similar for the bigger magazines
