So I want an auto Nelson setup for the collection. Specifically one of the conversion kits that was made. I think about four variations were made. Are these kits generally usable on any nelson valve marker from the period? I am willing to buy just a kit or the whole marker together. If I end up with just a kit I would need to find a compatible marker. Any tips, suggestions etc? Yes I am aware they were not the greatest kits!

As far as the Wgp nelson conversion kit, and tracer chameleon kit, and auto tracer kit were these compatible with tracers and rangers only? I do not see why they would not work on most any Nelson of the time.Comment

And the Rebline Trojan. It uses a 1-way ram, spring return... specifically rubber bands. I can remember a few guys buying the trojans back around 1991 and they just never worked consistently.
There was going to be a Trojan v2, but it was never released. Similar to the original, but with a 2-way ram. A member here bought up cases of V2 prototypes maybe 20 years ago, with the intention of selling working versions, but I don't remember what became of that.
Sterlings are not technically nelson, but I remember a few autococking kits back in the day for them as well. The original Soverign prototype was basically a Sterling with an autococker kit, but it was dumped in favor of the sheridan valve-train when released to market. Chauncey made an Imp kit for the Sterling (converting it to blowback), but it never worked right, and wasnt releasd.
The ATS AT85/TS1 is a Nelson valvetrain, with an autococking system. I've often wondered how hard it would be to replicate the system.

I've always wanted to know what sort of tech was going on inside that thing... assuming it wasn't just a mock-up for some reason.
