EV strikes again.

I have a brand new bucket changer that won't seal.

If I stack another gasket in there I can get it seal... comparing it to my twenty five year old BE bucket changer, the pierce pin is larger and sticks out past the seal further.

I got it in the mail last night and blew through my last few Crosman 12ies trying it, so I bought a box of 12 grams from a different manufacturer hoping that might do the trick... no dice.

I have no doubt I can get EV to take care of it, but the changer is supposed to go out in the mail tomorrow - along with the gun I bought it for - to a buyer... and I don't look forward to the invariable tariff and customs fee BS to be charged on replacement parts that I already paid on the friggin' changer.

It's not... the shipping cost to Canada is insane.

Edit: it's better on his site than on Ebay but the additional tariff/customs fees that we're getting hit with thanks to our fearless leaders and their pissing match is still not helping.

I don't think so.

It's the width of the piercer cone that's the problem, really... the 12ie can't push down far enough to seal. If I take a Dremel to it I'll likely damage the seal and then I've got two problems.

Somehow the EV pierce pin looks recessed quite a bit deeper.
Perhaps the shoulder of the 12g prevents it from getting in all the way.

EV switched to hard nylon face seals. PGPJunkies makes a urethane replacement that I prefer.

Thought I'd try something and swapped pierce in assemblies between the two changers, and I now have two functional changers.

I've already shipped out the marker this morning so I now have two bucket changers I have no use for instead of one, but at least they're both functional.

Thank you for this. Was just about to order an EV one for my houndstooth. What a bummer. Also… 25 bucks vs 50$…for the complete changer and adapter?
