    Favorite barrel...

What is your favorite barrel? And why?

I should state that I am referring to barrels for paintball markers... not barrels full of whiskey or gold.

For me, I have always liked the 32* Whisper barrel. I literally have nothing bad to say about it. They have never once been the source of my frustration, unless it's trying to find one these days. I did finally find one for my Pimp!

I know that the 32* barrels were all knockoffs, but I don't care. I don't even know what barrel the Whisper is a clone of, but I am sure they are freaking awesome, too.

I still really like the J&J Ceramic as an all around performer. That is another barrel that has never let me down. In fact, even recently, the one on the Stingray I gave to my friend was slaying with field paint.

There's just something about the 32* Whisper barrel, though.

    What's your favorite?
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

I believe the whisper was a clone of the Jacko Infinity barrels.Click image for larger version

My favorite barrel is probably the First gen Smart parts Teardrop Or the old Dye boomies. I had an 18 inch boomstick that I received for free back around 2002 from a friend and ran it on my Spyder for a while.

It shot Great and was pretty darn quiet not to mention the bore was a mirror.

I'm of the opinion that barrels don't really matter a whole lot, so it ends up coming down to dumb features and aesthetics. I currently run a freak kit, specially built with a freak jr back and a deadlywind whip tip. Great features, not the best looking. I'm considering swapping to an Inception Stella freak kit just for kicks. My CS1 has a matching Shaft FR that I love, but the ano makes it really hard to use on other guns (splash ice).

I had a CP kit back in the day that I loved. IT was my first barrel kit, built up over the years. Ran it for years until I swapped to my freak kit I have now, simply because I had the inserts.

I think by and large, my favorite barrel I ever used was the Empire Sniper/Resurrection barrel kit. Its simplicity both in milling and simplicity of features. If I didn't have the matching Shaft FR for my CS1, I would probably ditch my freak kit and go back to that.

Most of my guns have fixed barrel, but when i can pick a barrel, i tend to like short ... and preferably un-ported ...
Ill be making a 3.5" barrel for a blazer tomorrow
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

I used a 12” 32 Degrees Night Stick on my Excellerator for years. Shot great no matter what paint I put through it. It now resides with my high-flow Victor build. 32 Degrees barrels in general were very good performers for what you spent on them.

I typically use a combination of Freak kits and ID Stella barrels. I really like how inexpensive and interchange the Stella system is. Recently, I've tried a Master Sconi Freak back (Dye threads) with a 16in Dye SE barrel tip. That's my new go-to long pump barrel.

SP freak back with AA tip. I just like the smooth classic look of the AA barrels and they are nice and quiet

I put a Dye UL on everything I can. I got them threaded for just about anything that will take a barrel and have a bunch of different tips for them. But a good old UL is for sure my favorite barrel.

Oh ok looks like one I sold a while ago on MCB it had a benchmark on it I think. Just curious if it was still around. Love that color!

CCI stock barrel is best barrel.

I'm also fond of Lapco stuff.

                  Doesn't really matter.

Of all the hollow aluminum tubes I have, I use my Freak kit the most since the majority of my markers are closed bolt and roll-outs suck.

Did you buy that on MCB a while ago? Curious if that’s my old right feed body.

I’m really happy with my Stella barrels both spiral ported and the CF tipped, and the aesthetics of ss Freak back with an AA tip.

Lucky Un1tec. They use a great design where the whole barrel is a single piece and you thread the back over it, best of both worlds. They were also made incredibly well, the threads between the back and barrel were machined well enough that you can just spin the back and it’ll thread right up. Buttery smooth.
