I've bought and sold as a way of funding my paintball hobby since the beginning, 25 years ago or so, so I don't have anything original.

But... my Hurricane is the longest I can remember owning something. My Matrix would be second, I got it a few months after the Cane. Going on 6 years now, I think?

This thread motivates me to be a better marker owner. Longest owned is a Phantom bought off here about a year ago.

I’ve bought and sold too many to remember, but the last sold before getting back into the sport was a green and black acid wash VSC which I’ve replaced recently with an identical one.

Being a better owner is subjective. Sometimes buying something is the only way to see if it's going to be one to keep in the stable, or be memorable, even. Sometimes you build the marker that "wows" you. If it's special, you'll feel it, and you'll keep it. Sometimes it makes more sense to let something go, due to life.

Well put, I definitely have to see, hold, tinker with, and play with a marker to determine how much I like it. 100’s of markers have come and gone but the Phantoms mostly stay. Just nailing down my favorite configuration/ano now!

That would have to be my Bob Long Signature Series Autococker, which I bought in ‘99. There’s not much left on it that’s original, but even those parts I replaced still live on with other builds I own. I suppose I could still rebuild it back to original if I really wanted to.

Bought this Promaster in 2005 and have done minor upgrades over the years. Have owned and sold several pumps and mech markers over the years, but something about this marker was special to me and I don't think I could ever part with it.

Heck yeah. My second longest owned is a Promaster I got in '06 and is still my favorite shooting electro by a long shot. Mine has the same regs as yours too.

I still have the Tippmann 68 Special I bought used in the summer of 1994. My very first marker.

The Automag: Not as clumsy or random as an electro. An elegant marker for a more civilised age.

My trusty PGP. I purchased it used in April 1995 for $30 and a weed hookup (as in, I introduced the seller to someone he could buy wacky tobacky from). It came with a Nylon thigh holster (long since lost in a move) and the PMI grips. I added the custom Speed Demon Bolt and PPS changer back in the late 90s. Recently I rebuilt the valve and added brass frame and grip screws from PGP Junkies as well as an RVA. Still fun to shoot!

If I'm ever feeling real sassy I might add a K-Frame, still not sure. They look cool, but those old PMI grips are sooooo comfy...

My Jordan built rainmaker is by far my longest owner and most used marker. This is the first season since I bought it that it didn’t get any field time and that’s because when I put air to it, the bolt shot out the front and… yeah.

My FBM Teardrop Cocker. Bought it off eBay for what under $150. It’s been a pump and a mech at different times and was even stolen and recovered a few
years later. I bought it around 2004.

              Current setup:

Not nearly as long as y'all, but my longest is my Tippmann Model 98 Pump. I got it fully stock from a cousin toward the latter half of 2006. I started the first round of the pump conversion in 2008, and I've slowly been cutting it down more and more over the years.

I like where you're going with this. It certainly cuts down on having a super long pump arm that's for sure.
