Angel is coming back with...a mech Angel?

Sounds cool- I’ll always be interested in new mech and/or single trigger guns. But also sounds like it’ll be well out of my financial comfort zone if it does come to fruition.

I also just saw Macdev’s single trigger teaser. Could be a decent year for new “classic” paintball.

I thought a lot about this and still can't picture how they plan on making a 3 tube poppet into a mech. Would have to be either some sort of spool type crammed into a 3 tube body for some reason or possibly an MQ valve type deal actuated by a pilot valve.

Either way it's too little too late for Angel as usual.

I tried them on at a NPPL event in Huntington Beach back in 2010 we aren’t missing much. Unless looking like a horsefly is your thing.

My guess is if WDP was going to team up with someone, we would already be seeing these mechs at events. Some hint of a new marker.

I suspect it is someone that did a mech conversion in the angel and they are hoping to cash in in the raffle will runs. Would. It surprise me if it was Brad honestly. I know he did a g7 or something a ways back. It was only mech by cycling the noid button.

Just as well imo. The Angel was a quintessential electro. The early ones held their own with cockers/mags IN SPITE of being electro. To make one mech would just seem wrong. Same with the shoebox Shocker.

Now that I think about it, it would have been neat if WDP had decided to make a blowback (mech or electro) with Angel styling. Maybe under a separate lower end brand (a la Dye's Proto).
