    Guess the Issue!

Someone used to post a guess the price game and things he’d found. To slightly modify it here is: Guess the Issue!

Today’s pickup is a BT TM-15 complete with Rip Drive. Purchased in non-working condition with was given no clues as to why is does not work. So, post a guess and once I bug and fix it I’ll post the problem. Also, feel free to guess as the price if you’d like.

Do we get to know any symptoms?

      $100

      If not, regulator over/under pressure

And guess my price was my game, I just haven't had time to do it recently. If anyone else would like to start it up feel free. Shoot me a pm if you want to discuss how to set it up

Previous owner was unable to tell me anything other than it didn’t work, so no hints available. I’ve just finished a full tear down but haven’t added batteries or air yet. So I’ve rolled the dice on this a bit more than I usually do.

Well it did not come with a battery, so is possible! Interestingly the battery sits in a cradle on the top of the fake mag. Makes changing the battery very easy.

And for full disclosure I don’t yet know what the problem is either yet. Need a fresh 9v and some air. I always take guns fully apart for a good cleaning and check o-ring before I do anything else.

Probably needs greasing... I'm guessing low velocity from a sticky poppet.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Problem: Gun doesn't fire with eyes on and no paint.

Solution: Gun isn't supposed to fire with eyes on and no paint. Add paint, gun will fire.

You may laugh, but I've run into people with this "problem" before.

It's a invert mini on the inside so if it needs a sear..... There's larger issues at play

Embarrassed to say a I know a thing or two about these pieces of garbage:

TM guns need fresh, quality batteries.

Noid could be sticking... You’ll encounter this when gun has a ball in the chamber, light is green, pull the trigger and nothing. To get around this, move the select fire to full automatic, ramp the trigger and hold for a few seconds, maybe 5-10 seconds, and the noid will break free and your TM is now shooting. To fix this from never happening take apart the noid clean it thoroughly with something like nail polish remover. Never ever lube the noid, put it back together dry and you should be home free.

Taken apart it really doesn’t look like much. Kind of like a sheep when it’s been shaved. But this looks like a nice platform to drop into something more interesting. I eventually got the barrel off as well.
