    [MOTM] 11/23: Projects

November Marker of the Month: Projects

This one came per a request from a member. This month will be for those markers that are nearly complete, but just missing a few final touches. Your physical marker is to be judged not your imagination.
What I mean: Post your marker that’s missing some anno, or a piece that isn’t yet installed. Don’t post a pile of parts or explain you’re going to change a main component (ie: body) before completion.

We’ll give this a try, it’s sort of a weird one, but it was a request and I’m willing to try. If you aren’t sure if your marker qualifies, feel free to PM.

    The Rules:

Week One (give or take) - Posting:
Any person on this board may submit an a marker of the chosen category. Post one photo of one marker. Along with it, include a build/spec list if you like. You must own the marker.

Week Two (give or take) - Nominating:
All persons who wish to vote will choose a marker they wish to see move forward to the final poll round of the contest. You may NOT pick yourself in this round. If you already see a marker moving forward, you don't have to post, as you'll have an opportunity to vote the final vote. It only takes one vote here to advance a marker to a final round.

Week Three and Four - Polling:
I will create a new thread titled, [POLL] MOTM [month][category]. In this thread you will be able to vote, in a poll, to determine who has the Marker of the Month and will advance to the Marker of the Year contest.

    Additional Notes:
    - If there is a tie at the end of the poll week, a tie breaker will be held.
    - Only the top 10 (number of likes) nominated markers will advance into a poll round. If there are two markers tied for the tenth spot, or three for ninth, etc etc... they will be excluded. This is the easier way to make it work with the forum polling options.
    - With the forums new "comment" feature, it doesn't make my life any harder if you want to commend on a specific marker, but please do keep these to "comments" and not "quotes" or additional posts.
    - I ask that all "posts" only be submissions. As mentioned above, comments are fine.
    - If you win a MOTM contest, you must still own the marker for the MOTY contest or your slot will go to the runner up (this will trickle down). (If second place was tied, the month will just be excluded.)
    - If you have any questions, please PM me. zz0.ay6p6wz33tdzz

Looking for clarification…I have a couple
so close it feels like cheating….

Does it count if it JUST got annoed and is finally coming back? (Literally should be getting one in the mail today for final assembly)

I also have one that was finally completed until assembly when I found out it needs some valve work…so the valve and body went back out to be finished.

XEMON fair enough….it should be sitting on my step when I get home from work. I’ll crack it open and lay it out provocatively for you

Oof I have so many projects, you would think this was hard for me to pick one, but it isn't! This is my favorite project going!

I have a PTP FX cocker, I got it as a pump rebuilt everything and converted it back to an Autococker and want to get this Medusa frame working on it. Forest and I worked together to figure out how to convert this Medusa frame from Mag to Cocker configuration, and now I am trying to get it to work properly on this marker. I need to shave down the timing rod to fit the Medusa frame, figure out how to stop the front frame screw from blocking the trigger from going forward, and plug the back screw hole to fit it snuggly against the body. A new Drop forward and beaver tail will happen at some point too.

    Build list:
    FX Cocker
    AKA Bolt
    ID Front block and Pneus
    CP Reg and On/off
    Tornado valve
    Freeflow Hammer
    ID Spring kit
    Medusa Frame in Cocker configuration

Excuse the dust, all my markers have hung on the wall all summer....only one day of play this year...ugh!

Nothing crazy for my build….just got it back today from annodozing, still need to assemble

    Niche Celtic

    CCM internals

    CCM drop and On/off ASA

Arc Annodozing Anno Job - paying tribute to the greatest St Patrick’s Day movie of all time!!

Veritas/Aequitas on either side of the body
Cross both sides just in front of the breach
Saint’s prayer on the grip panels,

and of course it came with the Celtic knot work on the body (hard to get a pic of it, but very visible in person.

I will (eventually) get a spent 9mm case (or .45) and modify it over the detent.

what you see is pretty much what you get. I have some odds and ends to pick up still. O-rings, some screws and air fittings.

It will be a pump for me, but so did match the front block in case I ever let it go and someone wants to make it a mech.

    Bolt Action Rifle, mk.1

I need a pringle screw, mainspring, and spring guide to get this mounted (stole some parts off my KP2 for mockup), a feedport cover to be fabbed and soldered on, and a proper lug installed in the bolt. And I need to finish refinishing the stock, and then install a trigger guard and butt pad. And also fix the springing so I get a better shot count on 12ies. It needs a stiffer Thadadpter spring too.

edit: new picture with refinished stock. Getting closer!

And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Smooth and single. Have all the parts just need polishing and anodizing.

This has been an ongoing project for a while now. Still needs some fit and definitely a new finish on the stock, and to add the fake magazine to cover the Smav and airlines.

Not gonna lie, I expected you to post a literal picture of a pile of Brass tubes and a block of wood. 🤣

        Nothing special by comparison....
the grips, rail, sight rail, barrel, foregrip, trigger, and drop are going green, the body and trigger frame will be black, and it'll have an X-valve upon completion.
Hopefully in use early next year!

The last Armson Semi I had enough parts to put together. Some new parts, some from an old rental. Almost complete, just waiting on some inserts and the bumper that sits atop the sear adjustment spring.

I've never actually done one of these so someone tell me if I'm doing anything wrong

              Full auto pistol

              What it is
              Ariakron ACP body and internals
              Pt professional magazine
              Piranha e frame
              Spyder barrel extension

              What still needs to happen
-finish up the cuts for the speed changer
-bolt sits too far back, figure out correct bolt/hammer spacing
-the lower tube internals tried to murder me the first time I fired it in full auto, drill out and use larger retaining pin to handle the forces
              -paint
              -mow faces

                  I'm guessing this one qualifies.

I've been in the market for a Phantom for a little while, but things took an interesting turn when I picked up one of the imberiman center feed/AC threaded traccer bodies. It came with internals and the frame with no grip, which was ideal.

Currently installed is a Doc Tanto barrel, a dropout changer, a clear CCI feedblock I've been saving, and then the custom 3D printed parts. You can see I've roughly sanded a space for the dropout to fit in the phantom feed cap.

I really like the 90° grip, very comfortable to shoot.
The pump handle is up in the air. I'm happy with the current design, but I'm also working on a Duckslide style handle that I'll link to below since it's a one pic competition.
I've also prototyped my own 'ghost ring' style sight with fiber optic.

The end goal is all of the 3D printed parts coming out in CF PETG(except the sight), but it feels like my printer is throwing every curveball it can at me right now.

                  Duckslide render

im not sure i have one that qualifies. i have all my parts off to anno that need anno, but it was a fully functional marker before i took it apart to change everything around..

you said no pile of parts though
