[MOTM] March: < 1985 - 1995

[acrewofone]

Matched pair of Brass Eagle “Eagle 68” pistols
Filled in all empty spaces inside with Epoxy Steel (lots of it), to reinforce the weak plastic bodies
Removed self tapping screws and used machine screws and countersunk nuts (filled in holes)
Sanded down body graphics (left "Eagle 68" intact)
Body painted light textured black
Painted grip panels textured tan (to look like separate wood grip panels)
All new o-rings, and lubed properly (Brass Eagle originally recommended transmission fluid!)
CO2 plug painted black
~285 across the chrono
(Also have 12 loader tubes)

These look so much better than the originals…great job!

[MullerTime]

Oh man, I had one of these 20 or so years ago. I got it working for a bit but the plastic body developed too many cracks and bout crumbled into dust so I know how hard it can be to keep them in one piece!

I always thought the reload spring tubes were a good way to do it vs a fixed spring feed.
