    Flowtech R-Mac Mechanical

It looks like a Frankenstein-mech using a 3d printed body and frame with CVO guts and DYE eye pipe
with detents and PE 3M rear bolt removal with PE feedneck.

It really does look like a bunch of other guns mashed together. I wonder what their price point will be.

From what I understand this is essentially a mechanical 2019 machine vapor.

So I went to AlabamaPaintball.com, but couldn't find anymore details? A comment says price is expected to be $750~$850.
        I can haz feedback?

Funky. Curious how the bolt works, if it's like GC and the bolt does a full cycle or Smart Parts spool where it stays forward untill trigger release.

Orders are open it seems. https://www.flowtechdesigns.com/ I've seen a few be delivered on Facebook.

TBH, I put an order in today and will post pictures/video when it arrives. It may be a "buy and flip" kind of thing, but I'm curious and willing to support smaller companies. Saw at least one comment on Facebook that it's the same guys who originally worked on the Halo. Texas based.

              Nothing new....

That's a Machine Vapor pipe, as seen in the 2014/2019 models.

Why does a mech gun have an eye pipe?

Very similar to Dye's but seems here it's just used for detents

Ahh yes, eye pipes. The best idea on paper that should have never made it to production. I always loved having to deal with them cracking or leaking paint behind them totally nullifying the point of them. Not being able to dry fire without a barrel in place was also a treat for teching. Not sure why you would possibly add that to a mech gun in place of a more durable material if you wanted to eliminate detent covers.....

I believe these are attached to the bolt, so rear inserted and shouldn't shoot out like the Dye.

Still just an awful idea. Way over-complicating what is a very simple engineering issue of installing detents in the body.

My RMac came in the mail yesterday. Couple of first impressions just handling it and dry-firing in the basement:
            • Holy crap is this thing light!
            • Nice case, holds the 2 piece barrel, full spares kit (including tools and an extra detent pipe), and marker
            • Very little in the way of a manual, more of a "quick start" guide than anything
            • I hate the on/off. It's extremely hard to push on with a tank installed, and it's really easy to accidentally push it off
            • Bolt train/engine/whatever we're calling it was nicely lubed. It also comes out easily
            • Feedneck is meh. No lever, just a big thumbscrew. Appears to be empire spec, and if that's the case I'll be replacing it.
            • Trigger is extremely light. If it was any bigger I could walk it like an electro
            • Safety is interesting, it doesn't block the trigger but instead appears to hold the spool valve back

Spurlock has a pretty long history in the paintball world. Generally known for creating a company, putting out a product or two, then disappears with no aftermarket support or warranty coverage.

All you got to say is “spurlock” and I run for the hills. Dude hasn’t produced a good product in his life. This appears to be no exception. The eye pipe on the machine vapor was straight trash, probably safe to say this isn’t any different.

Shot great today, we'll see about reliability/durability. I get that eye pipes suck, but this is literally just for the detents, and they performed well with .677 paint fed by a prophecy z2.

Although I do agree with you in general. I didn't know about the Spurlock connection until it was already on order/in the mail. At least it comes with a spare detent pipe? Lol

I'm certainly curious to know how it goes for you. Having that extra eye pipe is nice, as the Machien Vapor ones were very fragile.
