Nova N-1 Terr-Air upgrade

I haven't seen any posts about it on mcb yet. Nova released the Terr-air upgrade kit.
I have been shooting this for a little while and really enjoy it. Lightens up the trigger, almost if not completely eliminates the potential for short stroking.

I will put together a video showing the swap when i get back from vacay.

Cool to see they're releasing new stuff. I need to fully break down my N1, it has not worked well for me this winter even after replacing the barrel o-rings with 70 duro.

I only run a rotor on mine.

Huh. That might not be the issue then. What do you have your spring tension at in your rotor? Mine was an absolute blender before I swapped the collar "O" Ring, and that definitely helped, but it still definitely breaks way more paint then I like. Since it's now cycling correctly, I've noticed that when it does break paint there is always just a smidge of paint on the top of the insert. I was assuming the rotor was pushing the first ball partially into the insert, letting the second ball drop further into the breach then it should, so when the barrel comes back it "clips" the bottom off the second ball. If that's the issue honestly a detent should clear it up. If it's not... I'm running out of ideas.

On the Rotor make sure to adjust the tension screw to 1 and 1/2 out
from flush and that should fix the ball stack tension for you.

I want the kit that excludes the .688 insert that comes with the marker. Its been out of stock since Christmas. I emailed about it as I can pay a premium and select literally every insert included for a higher cost. Tj replied stating the .688s are out of stock? I just gave up, they don't wanna sell me stuff apparently.

I have the shrouds in stock and Chris finally realized that we are really out of the .688 so those are ordered also now.

Its kind of a moot point now as well. As you took the insert kits off of the website last I looked.

The site used to have insert kits listed. The 7 insert set was to exclude the .688 insert. It was listed for 49 bucks. That being said it was always out of stock.. yet I was able to select all 7 desired inserts and put them in my cart listed in stock. For a total of 56 bucks. I figured it was a glitch in your inventory management when I e mailed, I was basically asking to purchase the kit for 49 as the site listed.

You simply replied that the kit (that excluded the .688) was out of stock because you don't have .688 inserts in stock..

So i split the difference and bought 3 inserts of the set. Im fine with that, but you guys need to realize stuff like that causes loss of sales.

Doubtful, most of the parts don't seem interchangeable.

We have never tried it in the older Novas. Not sure of the answer to be honest.

I am pretty sure it will drop in an old nova as it uses the same clipboard valve and has the same set screw locations.

Installed mine last night, not too bad of an install, but I wish they had picture by picture instead of videos. Videos are tricky for ADHD sometimes. Now it seems like my trigger frame doesn’t fit flush anymore, gonna disassemble and reassemble today and see if I can figure it out. It did noticeably shorten the trigger pull !

I swapped out the trigger return spring for a significantly firmer and shorter spring. I couldn’t get the stock trigger guide or new trigger guide to work with the stock return spring using Terr Air.

It shoots just fine without any spring/guide and there is a noticeable improvement but there was a lot of play in the trigger. With the much much shorter and firmer spring and using the new trigger guide provided with the kit it shoots even faster with a 80-90% reduction in trigger play

It works significantly better with one. No trigger play and lighter trigger pull
