Well I was ordering 12 grams anyway and I have a spare 850 psi reg sitting around and it's only 20 bucks...so I'll let everyone know.

I love it when mcb finds a use for something that is not it's intended purpose
Totally not my style of play, but I still think this idea of using these on the field is cool

Lots of peoples single shot markers might be able to get away with one of these, ill subscribe just so I can find out how many shots per fill people are getting.Feedback: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/b...ova-s-feedback

So 7.5
Double that for an efficient pump and you are at 15

I think you might have misplaced your decimal point there. ;-) By that math, a 68ci tank at 4500 psi is running out of air after 102 shots. I think we all understand that folks aren't hot-swapping full size tanks after half a hopper.
The rule of thumb I've heard before is 10 shots per cubic inch at 3000 psi, and 15 shots/ci at 4500 psi.

Thanks for that math! :P Could still be fun though. Think I’d like to see someone’s reaction to WTH is that more of than anything.

Welp. Waaaaay off. About 1.75 tsp of water filled to the top which Google happily tells me is about .5 cu in. That's with no reg. It might be a bit hard to see, but the cavity is just the drill hole.
I'm still going to stick a reg on it for the lulz and shoot it over a chrono. I'm guessing 2 shots before velocity starts dropping on a phantom

Chuck E Ducky Yep, from ANS.
So I kinda forgot that the 850psi reg that I had was 3K only so I was only able to test with that at the field. I say "test" but a full 3K fill from this wasn't even enough to do...anything with a stock 2K5 autococker. Just a slight pffft of air and that's it. I didn't get a chance to refill it while at the field and shoot over the chrono. When I got home, I put a different (950 psi...ehhhhh. it's what I have) reg onto it and put it on the Phantom. At a 3.5K fill, it dropped to ~2.5 when I screwed it in, then down to about 1K after the first shot. So a full 4.5 fill probably would manage about 5 shots.
Definitely got all sorts of weird looks and what thes though.
With my cheapo HP pump (60-ish on Amazon) it'll fill to 4K in a minute of work (and I do mean work). So I guess my verdict is that it's exactly what it says it is and if you're regularly re-adjusting reg pressures it's probably worth it. Otherwise, it's kind of a neat thing to have, but isn't usable in any real sense of the word for playing.Last edited by Embier; 11-21-2023, 03:31 PM.
