The old DAC/Bob Long Longshot/Delta barrels are my absolute favorite. Cool to see this.
Basically a copy of the styling/porting.
Hopefully will be available in 12,14, and 16"

Heres a another screengrab w comparison to two of my 14" Longshots.
Looks like the Sconi has the middle step/ring? with the same taper towards the barrel tip but the rear one is longer and not all the way touching the body. The original barrels used these for mounting the pnuematics shroud so i guess these are just for looks. Also, cant quite make out the porting, it looks like it might be straight rows? The Longshots have spiral porting at the ends and a few holes past the middle ring.

That's a good point, tube is a tube. That's why I'd rather spend ~$40 for this from MasterSconi than $100 for the same thing (but uglier) from the bigger companies.

I picked up this barrel from Doc for two reasons.

The biggest was the availability of a .670 insert. I have a feeling this is where paint is headed. I read that GOG discontinued the 5in insets so we aren’t gonna get any more from them.

The other reason came from a tester of the barrel system. He said it handled poor quality paint better than a Freak prob due to his shorter control bore. Not as good as a CCM but still better.

But when it arrived I found a 3rd reason to like this barrel. Its ledges work perfectly to support a cockers shroud. My Evo is now happy 😃 I guess we can thank Bob Long for that part of the design but Sconi for keeping with the OG design. Gotta updated the Evo group about this development.

I’ll have it at Bones & Ashes if anyone there wants to check it out.

RAZRBAKK on Nova PBs site under the Reaper Barrel. Or under the accessories tab. I initially bought their barrel. But there was a small issue which made me return it. But I kept the .670 insert. Then I ordered from Doc because Sconi offers gloss black

And that gets real pricey coming over the border. Nova shipping is ruthless.

So is it the exact same barrel nova vs. sconi or are there any aesthetic differences besides the gloss?

Master Sconi makes the Nova barrel and the Epsilon barrel. They are the same. Mater Sconi is a great guy and aerospace engineer. He has been in Paintball for 30 years as a player and business person out of the Sacramento area. Yes a majority of his stuff is from chinA as is this barrel but all barrel being made today are from chinA except J&J. And most are from the same factory in chinA. He just dose not mark up the price to stupid numbers like major brands. Im good friends with Sconi and although he rarely plays much he still supports the community with fare price products.

Lapco barrels are made in China? If so that's a terrible disappointment.

minimag03 Lapco barrels are stamped "Made in the USA" and still are, as far as, I can tell. I'm not sure where docfire got that from or if it was just an oversight.

Lapco is made in the USA. I totally forgot about them as they are not main stream anymore. The smallest cocker threaded barrel they sell is .684. The edge kits are nice but .691 for cocker threaded is useless with todays paint. I guess I missed CP also but they have the same issue with out dated bore sizes.
