Serious allegations leveled at Dave "Youngblood" DeHaan and DYE in lawsuit

This has blown up on Reddit and Facebook in the last 24 hours. It's a lawsuit filed in late 2022 that appears headed for trial in September. I have uploaded a copy of the original complaint, though I made some redactions to the exhibits that disclosed the plaintiff's full name and address (apparently inadvertently). Strange that this is coming to attention only now, having been pending for more than a year and a half. Newly-created accounts have been calling attention to it on Reddit, and the news appears to have spread from there.

It should be noted that a lawsuit complaint is not itself evidence and is inherently one-sided. For their parts, Dave DeHaan and DYE Precision have filed answers categorically denying the allegations in the complaint.

I have zero connection to this case and absolutely no knowledge or insight as to the veracity of the allegations.

I find it suspicious that there's a campaign of accounts bringing attention to this, but I will say that if they have any of the evidence they claim they do, the defense is going to have a bad time.

Yeah, it’s a regional upper Midwest thing to say. It is not my intention to make light of a very serious situation.

Yeah, that’s pretty horrible. I wish I could say that I’ve never read anything like it but sadly this is common. The plaintiff and the company are almost exactly the same age…which itself is another level of whack to consider…along with the actual name of the company itself.

Is there some Canadian grant that GI Sportz can access that will give them enough money to buy whatever's left of Dye after they are liquidated? I ask because I assume Dye probably doesn’t have $40M or whatever this is going to run them.

Dye paintball is only a division of Dye precision which apparently does CNC for the aerospace industry etc so there might well be enough assets to answer any judgement against them. Also iirc GI is now Kore (also the owners of Remington Arms) and under US ownership (it's hard to keep track).

Glad to see that the Reddit discussion is as civil as the pbn topic on the vipers guy.

I mean, innocent until proven guilty and all that, but personally I wouldn't buy anything new from them if these accusations have any merit. Used items don't have impact really

Uh....redz owners after Greg were found guilty of some of the accusations and that's why they ceased to be.

Well FML... I clicked on this thread gleefully, expecting to find some drama like with the Gardner brothers. This is quite horrible whether it is an elaborate lie or the repulsive truth.

I have no knowledge whatsoever about this particular case, but I know from my own experience that there are sick individuals out there who will actually lie about these kind of things, purely for their own benefit, whit no thought whatsoever the repercussions for the falsely accused person. I will give Dave Youngblood the benefit of doubt until proven guilty.

Between the family members acting as witnesses, the emails containing child pornography, the narcotics shipments and the previous complaint from a young male employee regarding sexual harassment I'd be shocked if this case ends with anything but a guilty verdict.

This is some ugly stuff, and with Dye as a company being accused of covering up both sexual harassment and drug trafficking it would be surprising if this isn't the end of Dye as a company.

You gain NOTHING by defending these people.

I am not trying to gain anything. I am not trying to look like I have some moral high ground for not jumping to conclusions, and I am most certainly not defending anyone who have done anything remotely like those heinous acts.

I have tried to clarify my statement in a separate post, since it became a bit lengthy.

good point, but on the other hand that would help fund the defense

Yeah, if the evidence exists as described and nobody effs up the case this is pretty huge, much worse than ditching Papa John. Regardless of any bills to pay, if a company is found habitually engaging in serious amounts of illegal activity a judge can simple shut it down.

Wow. Been hearing rumours from industry insiders for years. Never been a fan of rumours, but people would typically not spread such serious and egregious allegations unless they believed them, as they could be life altering.

Any chance of a criminal prosecution? That would be ideal.
