Unless specifically designed to last longer, most basic electronics have about a ten year life. Resistors and a few other key components start to degrade at that point.Comment

I want to see a video of testing the durability of the screen getting multiple direct hits. I am curious how the screen electronics will handle heat and sun.Comment

Where is this reball field? I’ve never been to one and don’t know of any that are still open. It may be worth traveling to just to finally try one.I wouldn't say it's without good reason though here
Since the introduction of nylon composite shells this has really not been an issue. Not to mention you seem to be thinking this will prevent any feedback from ever snapping. I'm with the comments above, this will likely just move where the snap occurs in a hard enough dive. You have now introduced a joint between the plastic and aluminum, inherently a weak point.
.
And what's your plan when it inevitably dies at the field? I can switch out a battery
.
There are cases when you need to change settings, but they are so rare it's not really a feature for however it's done. Hell my spire uses Bluetooth to my phone so I can change settings using a really nice screen. I had to change settings to go to a reball field a month ago, I had look up how to do everything because it was years since I had to change settings last time.
If you find yourself having to change settings so frequently that the screen becomes a feature for it I have to ask what's wrong with the hopper that you need to change settings that often?

We used to train reball.
It's probably the only reason I have the meagre skills I have.
We'd spend hours every week jousting, snapping, 1v1s, practicing all kinds of endgame scenarios, breakout after breakout after breakout with coach cussing us out if our movements were sloppy, working to shave tenths off our lane up times, nailing down our lane 1 to lane 2 timing OTB (4 balls there, two balls there, three for your foot when you overslide...)
Unless you're already somehow sponsored, I have no idea how anyone can afford to actually get good without it. It's the reason Joy were able to compete with US pro teams without constantly scrimmaging the same.Comment

Extreme velocity / warpaint
Salem OR.
One is the field, the other is the shop, I can never keep it straight which one is which

The photos in Google will show paint not reball, that's because they switched about 4 months ago now

My good friend Jay from PB Sports allowed me to try out the loader this weekend at Ft Knox DC vs Marvel Big Game for a session.
Yes, the loader is worth more than the marker it is on.
First thought when i picked it up was "This thing has some heft to it."
It has some weight to it and it seemed to me that it was around the neck area.
The hopper neck to marker feedneck was slightly smaller than the R2 Rotor and Spire V that I usually use and I had to adjust it down more then I thought I should.
It had the speed feed installed and that is how I used it.
I filled it up and went out and shot the hopper and 5 pods thru it.
The pods were 4 Fat Boy (140 rounders) and 1 Dye 160 Lock Lid (160 rounder).
Twice I shot it down to nothing in the loader.
It is a very quiet loader and is hard to hear when it dos run out.
When empty, it would take the Fat Boy with no trouble.
I did a dump with the Dye and it barely fit it all in, had to ram it down with the pod to get it all to fit.
I didn't experience any issues with feeding, which with the small paint now was a good thing.
Had a team player experience issues with his LTR all day and that makes for a really frustrating day.
I didn't mess with the display but it very colorful and nice sized when you got your marker in shooting position.
I did have one pod that either had a broken ball or paint inside and the hopper fed everything just fine.
I took the loader apart to clean the inside up before I returned it.
Cleaning was simple and no issues were encountered.
Final thoughts: Nice loader, but not my taste. Maybe in a few years, the price might come down but right now I think it just too expensive for me.
It seems well thought out and it fed the small paint without any difficulties.
Only other thing I didn't get to try out was the auto shutoff.1 PhotoComment
