At invasion of normandy i saw Nova had a booth with an autococker with a an air assisted trigger frame. The trigger was very light from trying it. It appears they have the trigger frames and autocockers on their site under "Gunstar" https://novapb.com/collections/gunst...tar-frame-only

That's really cool and an interesting design change (imo) to make it functional. Did you get to shoot the actual marker or just held the new frame?

I bought one yesterday, got a personal video message over text from TJ testing my frame and offering help to install when it arrives.
I already have the nova 5way that is neededComment

$500?!? I'll keep buying Trilogy SF frames and converting them to pneumatic operation, thank you very much. And they don't require a funky "5way" to operate either.Comment

I met the Nova guys at a local scenario game recently. They were cool guys, and the guns look and feel spectacular.Rainmaker's feedback: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/b...maker-feedback

I'm always hesitant of Nova's products after owning three of their markers. Hopefully they put a lot of time, effort and testing into this product. Unfortunately too many before have been half-baked and released prematurely.
I fear that a product like this is too error prone to release to a market that prefers a more "plug & play" solution.Comment

I love my N1, and it works reliably... now. I had a lot of issues out of the box, and while Nova helped me address them, it was a very long process. Any Nova products should come with a hefty assumed disclaimer that you should expect to tinker and get frustrated along the way.
That said, I do applaud them for trying things. As innovation in paintball has slowed it's refreshing to see weirdos trying to make cool stuff, even if the QAQC is a bit lacking. -
I'm glad someone will say it. I have never owned a Nova product and because of that I have felt reluctant to speak about my multiple negative experiences trying to buy from them. But I've watched the posts roll in about exciting new products that then ship with issues, and at this point I would never buy anything from them.
They parallel modern game development in a lot of ways. Release an under tested product and let the customers be your beta testers. Eventually the product might be good, but is that fair to the people giving you their hard earned money?

I understand the complaints with nova, basically every product I have bought from them has had issues. I fully expect issues with this product.
But I realized I don’t really care. I have plenty of reliable markers in every class, so the weirdo Nova offerings catch my interest more than the 35th version of the PE spool.
Plug an play would be cool but I’m a big boy and know the difference between a daily driver and hot rod, and a pneumatic cocker frame is a hot rod partComment

I kind of have to sit back and laugh at this because every product I've seen Nova come out with has had issues since day one. I had a Nova 700 back in the day when they first came out and overall the marker itself was pretty good but the brass barrel that it came with not so much... The solder broke at the welds and the barrel started sliding freely so the gun wouldn't cycle properly. It took me buying an upgraded aluminum barrel to fix the problem. While that doesn't sound like much of an issue, it shouldn't have been necessary. Now every time I see a Nova product come out I wait to see how many times people complain about it and after seeing how they handled the whole Nova slide situation I wouldn't want to do business with them.Comment

Noice!
Yeah I understand the reticence w Nova but I bought one of their LAWs and I have to say that I am impressed. You can charge it with HPA or C02 and it has an internal regulator giving you 200 psi a shot. I get 3 full shots off of a 12 gram (summer) and you can also charge it and just remove the air source - leaving you with one shot. Not to mention it is much smaller than my other rocket launchers.
I may give this cocker frame a whirl.Comment

Ripped her dress off so you could see the goods
It should be noted that the trigger doesn’t seem to physically actuate the sear, it’s all pneumatic
Also looking at this… I’m eventually expecting a Nova cocker with a macroless frame. The bones are there and there is a ton of extra space leftover.2 PhotosComment

Is the timing rod activated by the trigger, or pneumatically activated via a connection to the sear (like on Trilogy SF frames)?Ripped her dress off so you could see the goods
