Tigershark XL Freak barrels! Yes, really!

Thanks to the unusual request of a clearly badly deranged MCB'er who so foolishly loaned me a rare and valuable Tigershark, I can now offer to the community at large a limited number of barrels that take Freak XL inserts!

They're left plain to match the original barrel, and take any 8" Freak insert. I only have five on hand, though I could make more if I've underestimated the local nutball contingent.

    Asking $70, shipped (US only)

As long as people keep wanting to shoot the old guns with modern paint, I'll keep Freakin' 'em!

Yes, the plain bare aluminum is the correct color for these.

Do I need this. No. But I do have a tigershark. One that I could dig out all the old Stingray owners group mods and make into some sort of homebrew monstrosity.

But alas, all my Freak parts are the older short inserts.

I will have to ponder things a bit.

I could have made a 5" back, but then I'd have needed to make a 6" tip- and if you went to remove the barrel, chances are the tip would unscrew, and you'd have to pull the pump off to remove the rest.

I think you mean "bear" aluminum considering who is making it

Payment sent. There's something so satisfying about having parts on a marker worth more than the actual marker.

Still have three of these monstrosities sitting on my workbench. Call it a late Black Friday, early Cyber Monday: $55 shipped and one can be yours.

If memory serves... these are very similar to classic Sterling?

We need to compile a thread of threads, with drawings of barrels.

-I sold the last two on eBay, and surprisingly quickly. I'm in the middle of running an F-bomb-ton of fresh Freak backs, and plan to do another half dozen or so.

If memory serves... these are very similar to classic Sterling?
-Dunno. I don't have a Sterling to measure, nor the specs to compare. Sterling barrels are generally 7/8", though, and the 'Shark barrels are 1".

We need to compile a thread of threads, with drawings of barrels.
-I still have my now-wildly-out-of-date Barrel Thread ID Guide that I keep meaning to update, and add basic specs to. I have a lot of those drawn up as dimensioned prints, although my numbers are reverse-engineered, rather than 'from the factory'.

Geeze, talk about out of date- the link to the Guild is still the old N54 URL, and that's been defunct for five or six years now.

[sigh] Just one more thing to add to the long-ass list of things I gotta do.

If you wanna make any Sterling barrels, just email me for thread specs. My next one, I'm gonna measure over wires at MMC against the one body I currently have. 7/8-14 with a 2.125" overall insertion length but I think the threads need to be 1A.

Is there a way to comfortably crowdsource the info you need to at least take the work of pulling that info together off your shoulders?

-I have the data, more or less. I don't by any means have drawings for every barrel, but I've at least got lists of what I'm missing, updates to what barrels fit what guns, etc.

What I'd mainly like to do is get fresh, modern pics. I took those old ones with a 1.3MP point-and-shoot, and they were sized for when a 15" monitor was "big".

I've got a fair collection of barrels, though I think it was Have Blue that loaned me another dozen or so to get pics of. I know that in addition to what's on the page, I have Tigershark, the 2nd and 3rd generation Angels, Ion, Model 98 and probably one or two others.

Also, I'd like to expand the listing to include 2-piece tip threads. ULE, Freak, Freak XL, Stella, etc. I'd probably need to borrow a few of those for pics, too.
