Left the prototype. Right, what I end with. Theirs 2 .05 stainless rods that run clean thru near the edge used to a line the pieces and add support to plate cover edge.

Man…this is all nice stuff.

Are you familiar with the way skateboard decks are dyed in layers before lamination thus creating interesting patterns when machined? It’s an extremely cool trick. Perhaps some version of it could be applied here.

Just don't think it would be worth the cost. But would defiantly be worth the cool factor
