    Auto Trigger Autococker

Like the title says i was wondering if anyone has put an autotrigger on an autococker? I would imagine that it would make the cocker similiar to an Response trigger on an tippy. You hold the trigger down it goes auto you let go and it and it stops shooting. However i can see a couple problems timing shootdown just to name a few, however i am sure that there are more that i am not thinking about. I have googled the "idea" and found one youtuber who has done it an reddit question about it 2 years ago. However i would think that it would be a fairly popular mod to do considering the payback and if you got the correct autotrigger arm it would be easy to turn off / undo.

With that said i can see it being nothing more than a waste of time as most fields will not allow full auto.

From Reddit "The only workable method was the one made by boston paintball. Tim of PaintballTek has a great couple videos on one he built. They claim less than 30 kits to ever exist, about half came on factory twisters and the other half sold as complete front blocks and grips. OG twisters with this kit change hands occasionally for over $5000.
Using a 2 way switch tied to the pump arm and a piston behind the trigger the marker would activate the piston at the rear of the cocking stroke and deactivate it at the front. Basically it works exactly like a tippmann response trigger. In fact tippmann may have gotten the idea from bps as bps made these kits back in the late 90s."

Does anyone have any information on this and maybe know why it is not done?

the only problem is the ROF is too fast, but it does make full cyclesat HawaiiPB we money YO!i made my own autotrigger

I have a BPS reflex cocker. BPS sold the patent rights to tippmann many years ago. Once tippmann bought the rights they designed their RT. The patent covered reactive triggers that are fired forward by a ram in the grip.

The main cons are bulk, weight, cost, air efficiency, and one of the most complicated timing setups ever made. Then like you said, few places to use it. Some rec fields and big/scenario games will let you use one w/ ROF locked down, but not all will. They were tournament legal in some series for a while, but got banned at the same time turbo mode on shockers was banned. Insurance.

You can't get replacement parts for the original BPS kits at all anymore. There is a more modern take on it called the annihilation kit.

Cost is big deterrent to making them. Requires custom grip frame, machined cocking rod, custom spec ram, custom spec on/off valve, custom spec grip frame ram, and custom front block.

So here is what i am thinking i have seen where Autococker Parts had placed an autotrigger(Slam Fire) on a dye hinge frame. They used that with a pump gun and were able to auto trigger / slam fire like most CCM guns. In the HawaiiPB youtube video you see where they used a CCM or similar autotrigger frame to make his autococker fully auto. He jokes with dividing by 0 and other items and maybe in later videos he shows paint being shot but he only shoots air out of the gun in auto in the video on my first post.

I would like to modify either a dye hinge frame i have, buy an autotrigger frame, or modify a roller bearing grip frame that i have to accept slam fire on it.
Modify looks to be the way, as trying to get a frame right now seems unlikely.

      When i have an autotrigger
Use a t2 that i have and follow that angle and mount a post on the cocking rode on the autococker i think temp mounting might be the best at first so that i can move it till i find the right spot.

When all of that is done i would need to spend the next year timing it.

When all of that is done watch it shoot auto for a couple seconds while the FPS drops to 150. (Hopefully not)

After i have done that remove the autotrigger lever so that it can shoot normally again.

Shaftski I know the response trigger you are referring to I found the videos mentioned on Reddit and those BPS that he fixes and shoots are amazing if you have a picture i would love to see it.

Damnit! I've got a big game this weekend and would have love to sling my STO with AT at this event! Regardless, now I have to do the thing...

That's the business side of a BPS reflex. You can see the longer ram, this turns on/off the valve just below it. When the back block moves back during a shot, the milled piece bolted to the cocking rod slides in a milled slot in the valve arm below. Once fully extended, the on/off valve turns ON. This pushes air into the slide check below it. The slide check is there only to turn the reflex system off and use as normal semi. Air goes from slide check via air line to mini ram installed in grip.

So long story short. Fires a shot like normal cocker. But you can't hold the trigger IN and keep the back block fully extended manually. Ram in grip is too strong. As long as you keep pressure on the trigger, it keeps shooting.
