I am very suprised nobody has asked the following question yet. (Asking because I know somebody wants to ask.)
"What would you charge to make another one?"

The boring on oversized parts is supposed to have a steady rest. I dont have one so i do a lot of "spring passes". Chatter is a problem that can be overcome by holding your hand on the workpiece as a vibration dampener - just hope your hand doesnt get sucked into the machine. I'd post a video but i dont have any barrels that need freak boring right now

Good lord... Please invest in a steady rest - or diy one. It's not just your hand at risk in this scenario... Your radial artery is danger close, and the rest of your body is mighty attached to both... A face full of spindle and angry metal is a hell of a way to go.

Done. My wallet is empty, my wife hates me and a good portion of my life has been severely neglected but at least I can say I built a (functioning) gun from scratch. Obviously I will continue tweaking things for the rest of eternity but Im happy to call it complete at this point
Time spent today: 9 hours
Time spent over entire project: 93 hours
estimated cost: somewhere around $500

Will this accept any standard Sheridan parts or did you follow the design but set your own dimensions?

I followed the design but set my own dimensions. Theres only a handful of standard parts on the gun:
4x 10-32 screws. 2 in the trigger housing. 2 on the tank/stock mount.
12 gram changer.
Phantom feed gate.
Cocker barrel.
Cocker detent.
O rings.

If the website crashes, I'll re-upload the pictures. But no, I dont have this documented anywhere else. If I were to die and the gun were lost for generations, I'd hate to take the fun away from the next guys detective work. Gotta have a little mystery to make it exciting :P
