Ok. Wood barrel, pump handle, grips and back block. Stained and polished to match each other.

Brass pump arm, feedneck, trigger shoe and macro fittings

I knew this question would come up eventually. Might not be the answer some people want to hear, but I'm the honest type. In my quest to make this concept a reality, I really wanted to make them as functional as possible. With that being said, they are most certainly SLEEVED. I used unported donor barrels as a base platform. The aluminum base barrel goes all the way to the tip on all but the purple heart. That one has an inch overlap. I tried to go longer with horrible results๐Ÿ˜….

    Much love

Sorry to disappoint... I would like to in the not too distant future. One of the most difficult parts of the process, at least for me, was reaming the wood. It seems to be quite annoyed when precision tools are introduced. When I figure that out, game on.

Thanks so much for your interest Trbo323. Guys like you fuel the fire.

What's price gonna look like on these, and I bet that purple heart was a bitch, was gonna build a bass guitar out of it till I heard that it's hard as a rock and will chew your tools up and it can be messed up if you don't follow the grain pattern

Still working on a price. There is a lot of labor involved. About 4 hours a piece total.

Trbo323 that sounds dope, except I'm building a mech so a brass ram instead of the brass pump arm, brass cocking rod might would look good to

Has anyone ever attempted making a wooden back block, im sure it just wouldnt hold up under hea y use but it would be cool, i see the cocking rod breaking it at some point

Use a threaded insert, epoxy in place

What's next, a full wood Cocker? A body could be made if you sleeved it like the barrels...

Oh man, I hadn't even thought about sleeving it like the barrel.

Put a veneer over the LPR/ram/3 way

Feedneck would be difficult, so would the grip frame

Some of the CP asa's are small enough that you could use use them as the inner sleeve.

          A functional, wood marker.

Pointless, and super cool, the MCB way

Gorgeous work. Purpleheart is a wicked one to work with, but it turns out gorgeous, especially after you hit it with heat.
