24hrs after the stab - so far the only side effect is feeling like someone punched me in the arm.

That's what the first Moderna one felt like too. Wish I would have had the one shot option but at least I'm getting it.

An article in The Atlantic about trying to find a universal vaccine for coronavirus-related diseases.

What if a single vaccine could protect us against SARS, MERS, COVID-19, and every other coronavirus-related disease, forever and ever?

The article is presented for non-scientists to understand. I would love to hear our resident expert's take on this.

No more than any other time I've been stabbed with a wee needle.

I got the Pfizer and my injection spot was a little sore the next day, but I lifted weights like normal and felt fine the second day. I have my second shot on May 11, will report back with symptoms.

After the first shot, my arm hurt. Tylenol fixed that, but it was very annoying.
22 hours after Second shot, had a headache. 23 hours after the headache was pretty bad and I was tired so I took a nap. Never underestimate naps. 32 hours later, my joints hurt. woke me up at 1am. Downed a few more Tylenol and went back to sleep. This morning doing just fine.

Wife had no side effects and seems to not really mind my new third testicle.

Got Moderna shot #1 last Thursday. Starting Friday night I was completely wiped out until Monday at around noon. Headache, body ache everywhere, tons of fatigue. It was easily the sickest I've been in years.

Looking forward to the second dose

I felt a bit off for a while after the moderna dose 1, nothing too significant.

Finally got Moderna jab 1 yesterday. Mass finally has their act together but it took them way too long. I had to drive all the way to foxboro from stow to get it.

I've had to deal with contrast injections into my shoulder for an MRI before, EMG nerve testing, you name it. THOSE were downright nasty.

She surprised me by chit chatting and they hitting me with it. Better to do it that way so the muscle is relaxed and it will hurt less later. I honestly did not know she even had the needle in her hand. Sneaky that one.

This just a large gauge needle, so soreness and maybe a bruise after. Just a little bit more soreness than a tetanus shot. I had a choice so I took it in my right arm, since I had surgery few years back on other shoulder.

                      Moderna shot #1 3/14/21
Arm soreness that lingered for a day or two and slight fatigue that afternoon after receiving it(The shot wad at 7am).
I also had the weird "moderna rash" about two weeks after getting the shot included some swelling and a nice red rash about the size of a softball but no itchiness.. Very bizarre.

                      Moderna shot #2 4/14/21
Less arm soreness than the first shot surprisingly but the exhaustion was real. Passed out in the afternoon around 1pm and slept until 6pm and then zonked for 12 hours that night (shot was also received at 7am). Also on and off bodychills for the next 36 hours and on and off headaches for about the same time period. The worst part was the fatigue. That feeling of lethargic and under the weather lasted about 48 hours. Moderna seems to have the worst side effects out of the big three. The stronger your immune system the worse it gets from what i've heard from friends and family.

On the second shot i took Tylenol every 6-8hours until the symptoms subsided and that defintely helped.

I am very glad to be fully vaccinated. Totally worth all the pain and suffering and i am beyond excited to be one step closer to some normalcy!

First shot, arm was sore for a few days but no aches or chills. Second shot less soreness but I was tired and had a few aches the next day. My family had much worse symptoms but I think they all had Covid or were exposed at least once. My mother-in-law is 87 and hadn't been exposed either and she had no real symptoms either. I live like a hermit and stay at the house most weeks (except for the weekends at the paintball field) and I haven't had any exposure. I really think that makes a difference.

Just had my second Pfizer shot. I didn't feel particularly sick. Just zonked out and took a nap that afternoon. Next day at work felt like a really really light hangover...just a little tired.
