Totally stock non-effed up Trracers are best. The pump stroke is better than Phantom. The gun never needs parts. It was a deal 35 years ago and still is. They are all right feed and the feed doubles as a cram and jam. If nobody screwed with the springs they run CO2 flawlessly.

A $0.01 piece of tape, preferably three narrow ones evenly spaced, is all you need to stop rollouts. A single roll of electrical tap will stop rollouts in HUNDREDS of Trracers. You don’t need a sizer. People just buy that stuff…because they want to, apparently. It’s not even better at the job. Tape absolutely works better that freaks and sizers on modern paint. I guess they like spending money on stuff. It’s never been explained to me. If anyone has any info on that please reply via PM or Quote rather than comment. I’d love to understand you more.
Tape can work, I always keep a roll in the toolbox.

But I still use spacers and freaks instead of tape, because they are more convenient and quicker to get working at the field for me. They don’t leave gunk on the barrel, can be threaded on and off the gun without any particular care, and they don’t induce a biased spin like quick tape jobs.

All my spacers and freaks pay for themselves by sparing me the time and careful handling I need to use to make tape work. I guess you could call it a luxury.

Idk about tape being better with modern paint. My experience with tape is 5-10 minutes of cutting, taping and testing then it works. My experience with spacers/freaks is about 30 seconds of finding the size that holds the ball, then it works.

Lots of good insight in this thread. Wilfortina I've been thinking about doing something similar, stack up a fleet of pumps to kit out my friends who don't have gear.

If you want something a little fancier then the PMI Trracer, the empire Trracer is also insanely good. You can find them with either Spring feeds or with the clamping feedneck adapter, and they have an anti double feed detent and take autococker threaded barrels. Crazy good guns that are frequently overlooked.

Oh ya! I forgot you got game play footage of it. I love that gun. I pretty consistently land some absolutely mad shots with it 😜

The empire Trracer is the ultimate upgrade to the old original model. They’re super cool. Plus if you wanna single shot them, I believe they have a fsr-shaped feed hole.

I overlooked PMI Tracers for years. Recently got one for cheap and was really impressed with it, so when I found a empire trracer for sale I jumped on it and It quickly became one of my favorite guns. For reasons mentioned already, updated with autococker threads, detents and accepts bottom line setups. Super modular. with a FS cut out to hand feed FS's if your interested in that. ONly thing is I don't see them for sale often so might be hard to find.

Picked up Doc Machine Traccer detents for my old PMI traccers and can use those now no problem.
