What book are you reading?

Currently on a roll with reading books involving the Pacific Ocean.

”The Wide Wide Sea” by Hampton Sides, this is about Captain Cooks last voyage. I recommend it, excellent read.
”In the Heart of the Sea” by Nathaniel Philbrick, this is the real life inspiration to Moby Dick. Another recommendation and excellent read.

Just finished Bill Brysons: The Body: A Guide for Occupants

Great book and his stuff is top notch. Great way to further your education and also be entertained. His "A short history of nearly everything" is also a must read and should be read by everyone to fill in the gaps of what you didn't learn in school.

Right now I'm reading Joshua Slocum's Sailing Alone Around the World about his voyage in 1900. I absolutely love old books and would enjoy and recommendations folks might have.

Without knowing what your interests are, I can recommend some of the older titles I really enjoyed. "The Sea Wolf" by Jack London, "The Ballad of the White Horse" by G.K. Chesterton ( absolutely outstanding poem), "The House of the Wolfings" - William Morris.

Almost finished with "The Forty Days of Musa Dagh" By Franz Werfel. Its historical fiction focusing on an really interesting event which occurred during the Armenian Genocide in which the Armenian villages took up arms and fought rather than face certain death through deportation. Thus far, its been excellent.

Just finished Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind not too long ago. A weird and dark book, but none the less, very interesting and captivating. "Scentless Apprentice" by Nirvana apparently is based off of this book. I definitely would recommend the read. Im planning to start The Castle by Franz Kafka this week.
