I picked up Serious Sam 2 this past weekend out of pure nostalgia. The cut scenes/humor haven't aged well but it's still a fun game. It's surprisingly challenging in a way that modern shooters just aren't. Also, I get a certain satisfaction running this game at 800+fps at max settings on my PC.

Also still chugging through Kingdom Come Deliverance bit by bit. It's a magnificent game but boy is it unforgiving. It's easy to loose track of time then get killed and find out my last save was over an hour ago. Usually I have to step away at that point lol.

I played through the first 3 Serious Sam games last year. Loved them. Agreed that the humor isn’t as funny as it once was. There were a few sections (mainly in the first 2) that nearly made me rage quit but I’m glad i pushed on.

Yeah man. The hollowed out log part of the giant's world level was absolutely kicking my ass lol and that was just on normal! But man it feels good to finally get through it.

Running through Haunting Ground for the PS2. I've had it forever but never played it. Very much a resident evil\clock tower type of game.

I’ve played through a good bit of TWD Onslaught using clock turning & teleportation. Hasn’t given me motion sickness at all. Pretty fun overall because it’s in VR but if it was a flat screen game it would be extremely mediocre. I definitely prefer the story missions to the scavenging missions. When you’re scavenging you’re on a time limit (a herd of walkers is constantly moving towards you & once you get engulfed it’s usually game over) & i typically HATE timed sections of most games. I hate them more than i hate most mandatory stealth missions.

Who knew NDSLs were so cheap! Had to snag one (ok maybe two) and rock a shell swap and a dspico flashcart for some 3rd gen handheld action.

Largely have switched to VR now that I got a Quest 3S. Some favorites are Contractors, Forefront, Dawn Of Jets, Tactical Assault & Paintball Playground.

If you have a computer that can run VR instead of using the standalone quest 3S, I highly recommend checking out H3VR on steam. It's a great weapons simulator and lots of fun for $20

I beat Farpoint a couple of weeks ago & was planning on starting Moss. I bought Fracked on sale though & since it’s supposedly a roughly 3 hour game I’m going to go ahead & play through it first. All of this on PSVR.

Okay beat RE8, wow they really flooped the plot in the last couple chapters. I enjoyed it though, wasn't sure if I liked the action-oriented gameplay at first.

I think I'm gonna take a break from the first person REs and dive into the REmakes next, starting with RE1 for Gamecube like a true gentleman.

The RE2 remake was super good. I didn’t get into RE3. I’ll go back to it at some point. I never liked Nemesis. I know he’s there to keep tension high all through the game but having to run a long way to lose him & then tracking back to where you need to be feels like a chore.

Re 2 remake is my favorite. Re 3 remake supposedly not as good. Only played the demo though. Re9 is supposed to be really good but I haven't peeled that onion yet

Started playing Turok Dinosaur Hunter on the Turok Trilogy for the Switch. I’ve played it numerous times over the years on the N64 but never really got very far for some reason. I’ve already gotten much further than i ever did before & though I’ll probably actually finish it this time.

Yeah it’s pretty good so far. Retains that N64 look, though shinier & no more fog. I always thought the fog actually added to the ambiance.

Finished Turok a few days ago & started on 2. I’m not sure I’ll see this one through to the end or not. It doesn’t have the same early N64 charm like the original. A lot of the enemies are absolute bullet sponges too. A headshot will sometimes take them down right away but most of the time 5-10 or more shots with the basic pistol. It isn’t terrible by any means though. If i move on to something else, it’ll probably be Sackboy: A Big Adventure. I haven’t played a good 3D platformer in a while & it looks pretty good.

CoOps: Back to Helldivers 2 for the most part. Guntouchables, Jump Space, and Hammerwatch II briefly...

Single player: Was loaned a VR headset for a while. Mostly playing HL Alyx. Finished SuperHot very quickly; fun, but it's a hard sell at $30.

Aria of Sorrow for GBA was masterful, as a direct sequel Dawn of Sorrow is also quite good.
