    The soda-at-home community does this all the time for some reason. It’s not a big deal.

      `i imagine if someone were to hold it when it blew, they would probably lose a few fingers. now i dont know why someone would ever hold it till it blew but i wouldn't put it past some people on this planet...

        Also, frostbite isn't that much of a worry. You can handle the CO2 dry pellets without gloves (albeit, for a short time). The gloves I wore when filling my tanks were single insulated hot work gloves. Thinner than your average winter glove. I was totally fine.
