Great teardown! I feel a little guilting watching something so ugly been stripped right down…. Actually looks better without the panels.

Is there a way to remove the trigger group off the body? Be interesting for custom builds if that could be used on different bodies.

      A bandsaw would do it.

Why does it need a valve retaining screw if the valve is part of the tube casting?

If my assumption is correct and the valve/lower chamber is one cast piece, this bolt wouldn't actually be a retaining screw but rather a plug, since drilling upwards through the valve to create the exhaust port into the upper tube would have simplified the casting process.

hahahahaaha oh man that's a bummer. I can't say I am overly surprised, but still. Are you going to try and repair and make it work or are you at the table flipping stage?

I'm not totally done with it yet. My plan is to see if I can re-secure the ASA with a combination of epoxy and a steel hose clamp. I took a look at the structure of the grip frame under the rubber and I think maybe I can carve out a space to thread a clamp through and around the frame and then under it to lock it into place.

What's kind of interesting to me is the way the ASA is keyed into the top of its little plastic ring mount in a way that makes me think the entire grip frame was injection molded around the ASA with the part already in place- there's no way for it to have been put there after the parts were created.

At this point I think you should just make a pile of poo build thread

                    That would be cheating!

If there were a rule for that, but there's not.

This thread is in the wrong section.

Maybe try some epoxy with the hose clamp.

Nobody said a double barrel could only use 2 of the markers I sent out....

It would be a combination inline stacked tube blowback, can't say I've ever heard of that

Did anyone say it had to have even one of the markers you sent out?

I did not know the dynasty was a blowback, interesting.

Hmmm, I guess technically no. The scenario was set up that you are 17 years old and the Carver one was given to you though so while not against the few rules you would have to change the scenario or at a minimum I would think add something into your cost to account for the Stryker

That said, nobody seems to like the outer shell so what about replacing it with a Carver one outer shell
