    Trracer Tagmaster

I previously had a trracer that shot fine with both CO2 and HPA. This Tagmaster shoots OK with CO2 but very low with HPA. What should I look into to get it shooting with both? I usually use HPA but in some instances 12G CO2 is all that's available. What springs does it like?

You can use a cocker spring kit on these, just cut the valve spring to length.

Thanks. I'm using a SHP reg and thought it would be fine. But alas. Any other tricks for these? I'm not that familiar with Sheridan's

How far off is the fps from co2 to the shp tank? It is possible that your shp is too high and you’re overpressurizing the valve. Try a regular tank and see what results you get before you rule that out. I doubt you will see the same fps as co2 but if it’s closer then you want to use that before you start swapping springs.

There isn't too much you gan change on these basic Nelsons. Try a lighter valve spring to let more air through. Your Tagmaster should have an adjustable bolt too. The over bored barrel will also impact your velocity, but not much to do unless you get the body rethreaded.

They are a bit too thin. Iirc it can be done but the result is the barrel is very thin and fragile

That's pretty much the case, it's pretty thin. On MCB 2.0 there was somebody who did a run of cocker threaded Trracer bodies. I can't remember who is was now.

You could turn a barrel to Trracer threads. Then your issue may be will the pump handle fit over it?

It's funny the way the MCB universe works, this thread leads to a happy score in the BST.
