    Old BT TM7 Repair

Hey everyone, I've been lurking the subs for a while. What an incredible community!

I have an old BT TM7 paintball marker that hasn't worked since 2016. I'm pretty sure it's the solenoid, and I remember going through a couple of them when I played regularly. I must have been doing something that was making them break, but I'm not sure what.

Does anyone know if there's a way to fix these old solenoids, or anywhere I can buy one?

    Any help is much appreciated!

Pretty much need to replace the solenoid. There’s an upgraded one that’s hard to find. Some of the big BT parts kit mights have them. I found a couple extra first gen solenoids in my oring collection but no idea if they work.

If you have the old style solenoid, you can unscrew the silver part from the black base and replace it with a new Axe/Mini solenoid.

If you have the "upgraded" single piece solenoid you can always try to rebuild it by unscrewing the end cap, removing the core, and replacing the o-rings.

And if you don't want to bother with all that, let me know, I'd be interested in buying it from you. 👍

They went through a couple iterations and generations of solenoid so my memory is foggy.

If it one of the original solenoids, I remember taking it apart, inspecting the orings, and clean the internals with rubbing alcohol. DONT lube it. Dry as a desert.

Youll burn out these solenoids by dry firing it. Avoid that.

Good luck, you might get by with cleaning out the noid but don't get your hopes up, and if you do find a noid their usually $90 new, I'd get the v2 noid if I were to buy one that way the noid can be replaced with regular ones from the mini, got sold a working marker that showed up with a dead noid(damn FB lol) and it's been sitting since, it's pretty much an $80 paper weight

What? The noid doesn't know if there's paint in the breach or not. You're going to have to explain that one

My bad, I mispoke. Dry firing a TM-7 is all good.

You dont want to fire the TM-7 without air. I was a member of bt warrior forum and remember it being talked about.

Did you ever find a solution to this solenoid problem that you were having?

That's unfortunate. I would have loved to get my hands on it

ID:	744543 Resurrecting this old thread. I have an intermittent solenoid.
I just inherited a load of old markers and a BT TM7 is one of them.
I did a complete stripdown and rebuild. Popped in a fresh 9v and it clicked! The solenoid fired in all 3 firing modes.
I went to bed came back the next day. Nothing.
The LED indicates Power on but in when I pull the trigger the LED flickers a reddish/orange but No clicks. I put a meter to the leads and no voltage.
I fiddle w it for 30 mins and then I randomly got a a few clicks then nothing again. Re-checked all the leads, cleaned eyes, disassembled the solenoid etc.
Wondering if it could to be the capacitor?
If I can't get this working willing to sell it [from Canada]

I have a solenoid in a parts bin somewhere if you want to try that route.

Do you know if it's actually trying to fire? This is one reason I'm not a fan of the hall effects triggers, they are hard to tell if the board is actually trying or not. Same with the mode selector switch, it's hall effects as well and you can have the same issues

Ah, the Hall Effect trigger. Yeah, I get the theory. No moving parts, faster cycling, but it has a dead feeling.
I had wanted to put a meter to the components while activating the trigger and selector but unable to do this in situ.

Hey Thanks for the offer. I don't think it's the problem as I don't see it recieving any voltage-- There seems to be more electronics in the body of the noic but it's potted
