So I had a thought, does anyone coming to Slims have a very cheap KP stock for a slanted trigger group gun. I'm looking for the ugliest bottom of the barrel beat with the ugly stick several times piece of junk. It needs to be cheap, really cheap. As I plan to have Walz restock the gun over the winter. So it's only a temporary thing.
If not I still plan to try it stock less. For a long kp it does point surprisingly well without a stock.
If everything goes well I should be there on Sunday unless rebuilding the deck on Friday and Saturday doesn't go well.Comment

Ok, I've got an unusual question... Is there anyone going to the event who is extremely fluent in Spanish?
If so, there is a podcaster who would like to do an interview with both you and I about these events (what the events are like to attend, why you play SC, what types of markers you use, etc.). There is no limit on how many Spanish speakers we can get (I'm assuming this will be a Zoom call). The more, the merrier. Please message me as to not clutter up the thread. GRACIAS!Comment

Now it says 94 degrees...I think I am leaving my paintball clothes at home and playing in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. I'll be the one volunteering to guard the flag every game! Bring your Sunblock! -

it gets too bad mid-day i'm retreating to my camping area, setting up friday night to get a good spot...large cooler full of only ice, 10 gallons of water for washing/staying cool...large shaded area under a tarp w/a 1000cfm blower pointed at me....and pray
then there's the bugs...they in full swing now

By chance, does anyone have two 1/4″ OD, 1/16″ thickness o-rings they could sell me at Slim's? Some how I lost mine for the ASP mod in my phantom. I went to my hardware store and they didn't have any that matched. The pro-shop probably has some, but just in case, if anyone has some for sure, I could use two. Thanks!Comment

I’m sure I have the “instructions” from my detent mod that gives the O-Ring sizes to use. I’ll post them up so you have them.

Man, weather forecast just keeps getting more brutal.
94-95 both days. Sat night temp might not go below 70.
One thing I found nearby is state park with a beach, about 20mins from the field. It's open on weekends until 6PM if some of us want to roadtrip to cool off/remove man funk.
Parking passes can be reserved online, gives you access to the full park from 9-6 PM. I checked their online reservation system and there are still plenty of slots available. If you don't reserve it's first come, first serve to the beach parking area. It's opening weekend, with 90's temps, so it will probably fill fast with walk ins.
Looks like 4 bucks per adult? Can't shower at a truck stop anymore that cheap. Might not be a bad idea for those of us that are heat sensitive.Comment
