I was actually there hanging out that day. I think you were the dude with the drone, I was asking about paying to get some overhead shots of the fields at the farm for the Pro DNA last weekend. -

Curious. What kind of gear were they using? Normal tournament electros or something interesting? Not sure if this group will check this thread, but I met a couple guys at NPI on 2/18, wearing pink/blue tuxedo Undr jerseys with a monkey on the back, and they each carried a bright plush monkey on their person. They traveled there from various corners of the country. Hope they had a good time, although they packed up relatively early.Leave a comment:

I went Saturday. Garrett said he was going Sunday. There's no way I can handle 2 days in a row, too old & fat for that. I also don't know if I've met Garrett, I'm bad with names.
I had to Google Dolly. Thank goodness! A tribute concert makes it sound like, well, let's not go there.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the update!
I'd wanted to drop in yesterday but, of course, there were baby-related conflicts, specifically a for-kids Dolly Parton tribute concert.
Was Garrett there?Leave a comment:

Played a whopping 2 games at NPI today. Didn't get there until 2pm, spending all morning at home fixing a leak in my pump, solving it, testing it with some paint, only to have it leak elsewhere once I got to the field. Ended up playing mech.
AAANYway, there's a concrete field behind the car field that I didn't see last time. Similar to tower field, without the tower, and not as long. Mark said he wasn't sure if the tower would return because some people found it difficult to climb up. He joked about a treehouse, though, since there's a tall tree in the center. He's gonna stack the existing concrete bunkers on 50 tape, because it's tough for anyone tall to play the 50 currently.
The car field is much smaller, like normal field size. And it's level, no more incline.
Lots of rentals, as usual. Only 2 other players were self-equipped, kids with electros. Maybe there were more earlier. Once those kids left, I left. I was only there an hour (2 games plus lots of downtime).
Still fpo, still GI Sports "Custom," still like $50/case. Shoots fine, broke on contact reliably for me, but I only hit hard parts (hoppers, feednecks) & one shoulder.
Heading back Feb 11th, and possibly the 18th. I have so much paint leftLeave a comment:

The longer you wait, the more fields will be up, so that'll be good -
Good to get a report, but it's a pity they haven't gotten the woodsball up and ready yet.Visited NPI today to get some tanks filled. Mark & Shawna still run the place, and still recognize me lol. They lost the lease on the old property, which is why they moved.
So far, only 2 fields are up: airball next to their parking lot, & cars behind it. Or that's all I saw. I should've asked. Mark did mention work on a woodsball field ( there's a lot of small trees on the property). Their land goes all the way to the river.
The new location is the Mid State SportsPlex, which is a paved parking lot, a normal field for various sports, a warehouse, & now paintball fields. The office/shop is inside the warehouse, with most of the warehouse interior corded off. It's a good size space, a little bigger than the free-standing shop from the old location. They still got the leather couch! They still carry GI paint that just says "custom" on the box.
The staging area has both covered & uncovered benches. There is a gravel lot between staging area & the field netting for paintball-only parking, or you can just park on the paved lot & set up a personal staging area. Chrono was visible just from a cursory drive into the gravel lot. The whole setup is very reminiscent of the old field. I didn't see the fill station, but it may be against the warehouse behind the staging area, like the old location.
TL;DR - same NPI, just different address. I'll most likely be ready to play again in Feb - I gotta test a lot of gear.
It's been months since I've been able to play. Lots of life/family/job getting in the way of my dumb hobbies these days.Leave a comment:

Has anyone been to npi since the move? Looks like they're behind the Target on Lebanon Pike.Leave a comment:

I play there every Sunday. I know they’re moving but haven’t heard a word about Mark retiring. Where’d you hear he’s retiring?Last edited by ThatDude812; 08-21-2022, 07:09 PM.Leave a comment:
