Gentlemen, in acknowledgement of your generous offer on my behalf, I am returning the favor. I know I'm cutting it close, but things have been rather hectic up here. Unfortunately I haven't been able to complete half the things I needed to, let alone the stuff I wanted to.

I'm chewing my way through, though, and hope to see daylight before too long.

But, before I blow yet another deadline, I have a number of boxes I'll be shipping down this weekend, to Mr. Turbo, he of the cantaloupe-helmeted kitty.

These will include a total of 81 T-shirts, in various sizes and slogans:



These are my entire remaining stock from the last few T-shirt runs I used to do for the comic, a number of years ago. (Well, not entire, I saved a couple of the 'larges' for myself.) It's kind of a random selection- there's at least one of almost every size from small to 3XL, but no promises of a specific size with a specific saying. There's more than a few in there where there's only the one.

I also managed to get a total of 320 stickers finished. Please use those wisely, and don't, like, stick them to the Port-O-Potty or something.

I wish I could send more, but funds and time are in short supply.

Just an FYI. Because of an unexpected work trip, I don’t think I will be able to get the chili made. I won’t be getting back until late Wednesday night, so I won’t have time to smoke the brisket, and let the whole thing stew for 8 hours like I would want.

HOWEVER… I am still bringing the pizza oven. So I will bring lots of dough and toppings, so we will have a blast with that. Since Rusty Brass is also making chilli, I don’t think we will be missing out. But we can throw down in a chili competition next year!

Does anyone remember what the chrono speed is for First Strikes? I'm pretty sure roundball is 280... and was thinking first strikes were slightly lower... 270??

Getting my First Strike rig dialed in today.

So I may be way off but I think they did not have different speeds. I remeber setting my emf100 to 250 and then when I got there I bumped it to 280 and was good. But I can not remember for sure.

Here's what I got..

The prevailing story was "a kid from red got "borrowed by yellow" to go hang the flag, but as soon as he did we was shot and they let someone from blue take the flag back"

That was the story that made it to the red general, his solution was to remove his team from the field to force a reset (not the decision I would have made..)

As it has come out, none of this may have happened, going so far as bringing the supposed "shot kid" to the red general to explain things. Or maybe it did happen in the dark woods at the same time???

I think the "reset" that was attempted cost Red Team the win for the wkd. We could have come back or at least fought back, but the morale dump that happened as a result was huge. Even with the renegades for most of Sunday, we were stomped handily because we just didn't have the bodies to push back.

Still had tons of fun - the advantage of having a target-rich environment is painting lots of faces before you have to walk to the respawn point

This is the camp area after we tore it down. Walking through this everytime you stepped out of the tents, was...... moist.
Still had fun blowing through a case and a half, and taking a ton of blue players out as they tried to get on the field.

Getting out was a load of fun. I had no trouble getting IN with my Honda Fit. Getting out was a different story - an entire paintball team had to help push us to get through the last stretch through the trees to the gravel road. Had to take the back roads home because the amt of mud caked to the inside of my rims threw the wheels out of balance. My otherwise very solid car was shaking at 50mph.

yeah, i was in a rented kia soul.. i was trying to be smart and park closest to the road in the hopes that it would become a rutted up mess..

thankfully i was able to be pushed out by one of the staff..

had to take the car to the wash to get all the mud off it before returning it
