So I took a break from the gen 2 and started on the gen one. Hasn’t been opened up in probably 25 years maybe even longer. Replaced the fossilized orings and gave it a good cleaning. It fires but only Leaks in the middle of balc
of the valve where the micromag lettering separates. I’ve replaced all the orings, and thick washer that goes around the pin, the piston oring, cleaned it, oiled it, still leaks there. I’m wondering if a bad piston could be the culprit? Or maybe the regulator pin? The pins look good but the was a piece of a metal ring coming out of the piston and ordered new onw

Leaking between the valve halves is the fat oring. I have started swapping them over to buna orings. They tend to seal better there.

Ok thank you I was going to try that next as that’s the only thing I thought it could be.

In other news, I FINALLY got the RT working! I put some regular orings on the end of the on off and also shaved down the on off pin a great deal and it’s working! Velocity and everything are great. It’s not getting an RT effect yet but maybe the pin needs to be even shorter or higher pressure going into it. Might also just need to break
in. Either way just happy it fires. Thank all of you so much for all the help!

      Some updates:

Purchased a ninja shp reg with a 1250psi output. Shaves the on off pin a bit more. I can feel the trigger reset harder now. It will sometimes give a quick insane rof rt effect. But mostly it just does the one shot and won’t really sweet spot. Might need to adjust the trigger pin. I don’t want to shave the on off pin down too little to wear it’s full on full auto.

Also, I got a forced feed hopper but sometimes up to four balls will come out at a time. The detent works but I think it’s not strong enough to stop the loader from forcing too many balls in. Got an old 12v revy I think might work better. The micromag has a different style detent

I have a video of it dry firing but not sure how to post it on here
