Modern Autococker Parts Question

So now I need to figure out why the gun will cycle, but not fire. The timing seems right and the hammer is striking the valve, but all I’m getting is a very slight pop (the bolt is not upside down). I suspect that there’s something not right with the valve springing or the alignment. I’ll need to look into that. What’s odd is that my valve tool won’t engage the screw to pull the valve again. I may need to get creative to get it out again.

What's your input pressure?

Last I checked, it's set to about 380.

I was watching a video that Simon put out about installing the Inception valves. I noticed that he did not install a jam nut when he did his install. I'm now wondering if that's not part of my problem here. Do the new valves simply not require one?

Is the valve right side up?
only one side is open on those I think
remove the frame and valve screw and check if its just a recess without opening

If not,
Have you use medium spring for the valve? And medium for the hammer?

The valve is right side up. These valves have an opening on top and a recessed hole on the bottom. I can see the recessed hole when I remove the locking screw. As for the springs, I started out using the recommended springs (Mainspring B and Valve C).

I fixed the firing issue. The jam nut was interfering with the hammer striking the valve stem. My valve tool wasn't letting it get fully seated (time to buy or build a new tool). I couldn't use it to remove the jam nut either, so I had to get creative to get it back out without damaging anything. I ended up using a length of copper pipe and an o-ring as a friction tool to unscrew the nut. The gun is absolutely singing now.

I should have the remaining parts in by Monday, Once I complete the build, I'll post some photos.

The HPR arrived today and I got that installed. All I need now to complete the build is the new ASA. I’m glad I decided to take your advice and pick up a new duckbill. The position of the 45 fitting from the HPR would have made for an odd angle to the inline on/off I had used. The drop forward frame just made it weird. In the meantime, I installed an old side tapped duckbill and the angle for the macroline is perfect for the new ASA on the way (they still haven’t shipped it yet). I’ll hold off on the big reveal until everything is done. I think you guys are going to be surprised by the end result.

So you have no jam nut holding the valve, only the set screw?

For the moment, yes. The set screw is holding in the valve with blue Loctite just like Simon did in his tutorial video.

I'm wondering, is this in all cockers using the ID valve?🤔

I’m not sure. While I could not get the jam nut properly seated with the new valve, I had no such problem when I used some leftover new springs on my Sniper.

The last piece of the puzzle arrived today. The gun has been tuned, timed, and it’s absolutely ripping. It actually feels thinner now and I feel like I have greater control over the gun without the gauge and fitting coming out of the HPR. I opted to not install the gauge in the front block simply because I could get a better grip on the HPR without it. In my opinion, this thing looks clean and handles so well. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Here is the end result.
