There was a guy on here selling a Raptor Teardrop barrel for $55, I asked him to drop to $40 but he refused.

I have a Big Daddy for my Shocker Sports. 18" is just nuts. It's a .684", so I'm going to see if someone can trim down the front and reunite it with the back.

How well do Raptors shoot and hold up? I was a Spyder/Pro Lite kid, and the only Brass Eagles I came across were Tigersharks and Stingrays, which did not leave a good impression. The one Rainmaker I saw at a field was just mind-boggling.

Like a stbb. Just like the really nice spyders from the myom, they will shoot a bit smoother, consistent over the chrono, maybe lighter. All depends on the upgrades and mods you put on them. Personally the double trigger on the raptors is amazing i think. Very little travel stock so you can really get your marker ripping. Just never dry fire them or shoot them hot. Bolt-striker Pins tend to break (old models do it no matter what, pins were too thin)

i handed my raptor once to someone whos newer model spyder was not recocking. He loved the thing. As for the stingray and tigershark. Probably gonna give the raptor the dub, but they work fine. Tigershark is great if you like a really small and light pump. I should run a camera.

Noice! I'll keep my eye peeled for a cheapo. Any other considerations?

I would say they are pretty old now, so you want to get one that was not beat up.

Want to put a chrome/shiny front volumizer on my raptor. Did they make anything that will thread into a raptor? Its way smaller than the one on my piranha.

Not that I'm aware of. Spyders wouldn't fit because they're metric. I dunno if an F4 or Griffin would work. Do you really need it though? LP conversions had been done without chambers because there was sufficient space in front of the valve.

Oh i just wanted more chrome on my raptor.

also my raptor now has my cockers old creeping air America unireg on it. Hpr is to low currently, just farts crazy fast when you shoot currently. It also has the cockers NW 8 inch drop forward On/off asa aswell.

I used to run a violator on my Raptor. But everyone knows that the stab is king.

Hey Meow, as an FYI: there was a low pressure chamber made for the Raptors by Rhino Joe/Hardwarz. Hardwarz lists it for Raptor upgrades here: http://web.archive.org/web/200103310...r_upgrades.htm

                              Good luck finding it!

And this is how much Raptors cost back then. If you were smart, you bought a remanufactured one which dropped the price below $100. That's about how much I paid around 99:
