Are ZoomDots still paintball? That’s a question for the Mag Vs Cocker guys to figure out. What I can say about them is they are definitely fun to shoot. Especially this way.
About a year or so I took this on trade from a teammate Arctic who picked it up here from another member it’s been passed around a bit. ih8cornuts did the body mods and mounted the rail and had a custom rifled barrel made to fit the Phantom body. And for that I Thank Him.
After putting it threw it’s paces I noticed it could use a lil love to make it that much better. It was an awesome concept all the right parts it just need a lil love. I plugged the feedneck hole that gave me 40 fps boost this should do wonders for efficiency. I noticed there was no valve spring when the cup seal backed off the power tube in the cold. I was surprised it worked so well without one for so long only gave me an issue in 28* weather. The 12g must give it enough pressure to hold the valve closed when warm. But I want that valve closing quick for more efficiency because it’s a 12g only marker for now. I had some binding and grinding on the body cut with use so I added a Teflon washer to the handle that really smoothed out the action and eliminated the body wear with a replaceable sleeve. I’m on the hunt for a ball bearing i found some in the RC car industry that may work. It’s so much smoother now so this will definitely work. I then added a shotgun Hi VIZ shooting systems front sight I got off Amazon for $20. I’m using the windowed custom rail ih8cornuts made for the rear sight. And Hotdog we got a Winner! It’s effective, very effective with a killer sight picture and a fantastic field of view. I also added a stock to aid in accuracy.
She’s a Tac driver, and my new favorite thing in paintball.
Time to Club some Gravy Seals.
