    Ok, so a rookie question.

Guys who ordered a raw assembly, do you expect it to come ano-prepped? Or as-machined? Or somewhere in- between? I don't want to disappoint, but also don't exactly have 30 hours to kill this week, so I'd appreciate honest feedback.

Obviously, I'll be prepping the black ones anyways, and just hope I didn't woefully underquote the prep time.

I don't have a dog in the fight but to me raw would be as pictured above. The surface work is done by the anodizers

I am also in agreeance that I would not expect Raw parts to be prepped for anodizng! I'd say don't worry about it, or offer it as an additional charge. You are already doing the community a huge service by bringing this to life! Thanks

I think it time-traveled there. Must have known your Duckslide was Delorean grey.

Received mine yesterday. Need to buy a stock class body and send it in to be modified.

Are there any extra Phrames available?

I'm planning on sending my body in for the modification, am I crazy or did you say you might be offering the ASP detent mod as well?

I had discussed with HaveBlue, but my little CNC has been such a headache this winter, I've been doing the Phrame mod on my other mill instead.

Let me figure out the ASP detent mod 1000% before I "offer" it.

Anyone who wants me to Phrame mod a SC body, though, contact me here or through the site for shipping info. I am doing those.

Know he’ll chime in soon enough but this is what I heard yesterday:

“Hopefully these will be ready to pack on Saturday, but my plater is old school. Good work, good prices, terrible communication! So who knows...”

Yep, precisely. It's in Steve's hands now, and my office smells like foam and cardboard awaiting their return.

(Boring story time: Fedex shipped my foam to the wrong address somehow, so the raw ones were packed a little differently. Nothing personal, but I had no idea how long I'd be waiting and didn't want to hold anything up further. The anodized ones will have the thick foam in the box since the recipient forwarded me my foam on Monday.)

Funnily enough, I just had someone ask if I can do a Phrame mod on a body along with detenting... So now I have to figure out how to do it, which will probably be on my other mill as well....

My CNC (that I do the detent mod on) is unhappy with low temperatures - I need to heat up the garage for a whole morning before I run a detent job, so I know all about winter CNC headaches.

Ive been wanting to reach out to if i could get a body from you with t the phrame cut.
Are you planning on doing a run?

              #87
i notice zero difference between my detent and non detent bodies. neither has rollouts, double feeds, neither chops paint.
freak boring the barrel is the only "necessary" mod for phantoms imho

The ASP detents are really nice for inconsistent paint. Regardless how you skin the cat. You need some sort of ball retaining system. Freaks work great. But I do find while not needed. The ASP system superior. It will hold a ball in the breach chambered without a barrel so it really dose not matter what barrel you put in front of it. This allows you to overbore with crap or super fragile paint that don’t like being squeezed into an under bore.

FYI, I'm working on assembling the anodized kits now. Hope to ship most of them this week.
