Well most of you know how it goes, my secret Santa sent me pre-2k pump kit this year, and I certainly wasn't going to let that excuse slip by. Since then the build has been super easy, and I'm positive I'll regret saying that as soon as it's time to tune this thing.
I'm currently sick with the flu, some I'm going to save the first comment for photos and upload them when I get the chance, but things have been coming together really nicely.
I managed to snag an awesome purple and black acid wash body that I believe is a 94-95 for a good deal as it has some damage. The damage wasn't all bad though, as part of it was that the body was already tapped for a phantom feed, but has gotten the feedneck repressed too deep into the body? Shockingly I was able to pry the feedneck right off, and sure enough one of my spare phantom feeds fit nicely.
Otherwise the body also came with internals because the old-school IVG screw had been stripped. I sent the body off to BMC, and he's gonna extract the screw and thread the body for the modern IVG.
Additionally I snagged an APP slider, phantom feed and bucket changer, blackout screw kit, grips and the trigger shoe and a back block that I really hope will have enough clearance for the feed not to get scratched.
Once I get the body back I'm gonna place an order to inception for the bolt, cocking rod, and a stella freak barrel. Everything is a nice gloss black.
The challenge is probably going to be getting it to run nicely without a reg. I've read up on the topic a ton, and have seen arguments for both regged and unregged SC snipers, but I really wanna try and run this one unregulated.
