Looking forward to seeing how your patina comes out,when using a center fire bolt how much longer do you make your new breach section? The build where you shortened the lower tube for the quick change really made it look better.

XL inserts, 45* right feed, and a detent for double feeds. Plus I still have to do some patina to hopefully make it look like I never even touched it.

Yes it fits the old feed plug slot, meaning if you have a 2k, Ill have to make a different style for it to work.

I'll cast a vote for the short one as well. In addition to being more compact, I like how the lever is to one side which clears it out of the sight picture.

On the whole though, very nice design and execution! It looks clean, easy to use and matches the existing gun well. I take it the thing just sits into the old feed cap's slot, or is there some modification one has to do to the gun?

I don't know why, but man...the sound the spring-feed made when you flipped it was soooooo satisfying.
