I'm a fan of the smallest one.

I'm trying to finalize the design. Which of these 3 do you like best? The one on the right takes more materials, so obviously costs more to make. The one in the middle is a stripped down version of the first. And the left one is the most compact.

If the PMI takes 12 grams, you might still have to shave the thread insert down just a touch so it doesnt get in the way. If its CA tapped then no worries.

I can make them for side feed, but it wont work on both. Its one or the other.

Could this be adapted for a side or center feed?

Thanks for the reply, the one I have to replace is in a Pmi2 so I don't think that will be a issue. But that is good information to know for the future. Just watched the video below, that looks great I think might have to get in line for one!

Yeah its a fine line between too tall and not enough threads. I did this probably 5 times total, I kept ripping the threads out of any that I cut too short.

I'll probably be making these and other trinkets for the next few days. Still catching up on orders.

Do you grind down the threaded part before
installing to solve the height problem?

Just watched the video man that is a smooth shooter, looks like the spring feed really helps out in a follow up shot.

I got this Hounstooth body fixed up with a new thread insert. These are super picky about the height of that insert for clearance.
