Got another back-burner project I'm starting.
I'm using a chunk of Bluestreak lower tube with a component valve core soldered in, a custom KP bolt that netsurferdude2 made for me, and a bunch of brass tubing. π
So far I've got the individual tubes made up and the feedhole cut in the feedtube.
Mocked up with some tape, to check my spacing will actually work (always nice to verify mental napkin drawings):
And the custom bolt - it's been extended 2" to accommodate the under-barrel feed.
I've gone old-school Walz style on the tubes - I used some leftovers from my KP re-barrel, and I had some other bits and pieces from other builds - so it's the .815 ID tubing sleeved over barrel and feedtube tubing. Makes for one heavy build.
I'm probably going to figure out my own lever setup on it, pump action won't work with the lower feedtube (the pump will interfere with the follower unless I run a string, and I don't want to do that), so this is likely going to be a long-term build.
