I spoke with someone yesterday who suggested that many of the problems with paint breakage are related to the barrel not indexing with the cylinder properly.

I just got mine and used it yesterday. It is a complete blender on paint. Ugh!!

The umarex pump shotgun i used works just fine on the same paint.

My experience has been that the inner diameter of the barrel is less than .50 inch. Most of the 50 cal paint I have, simply does not fit in the barrel.

I very much doubt that because there is no . 68 Roscoe

You probably have the TR68. Different marker

OK, I just got one of these from nobbie333 at Caveball. It is, indeed, a paint blender. Trying to source the bougie priced 50cal FS rounds, but every place that I have looked/have them listed, they are sold out. (with the exception of USP and "home defense" rounds... not interested in those.) Mine has the high impact valve but for what I could see on the crono, it's still shooting real low. I changed my spring to something lighter and fit that was sitting in my big bag o springs. It seems to be flowing more air as the cupseal cracks, but that could be placebo. I've also noticed that the barrel indexing problem could be due to an incredibly tight fit with the barrel, so the front barrel spring isn't pushing it all the way back.

My tentative fix: 3d printing a spacer that just keeps the barrel pushed all the way back without any chance of it sliding forward.

I'll post more when it's done printing and I can do some testing.

Ok, it took a while but I finally got mine dialed in! Yes, the compensator barrel spring is the problem. The part I made seems to work fine after a break in period. I have it shooting old crusty Valken roundball with ZERO breaks! Unfortunately, it's still around 200fps. I am able to get it hitting over my chrono at 270/280 with FS rounds now! I had to combo it with the HP spring and the "2nd gen" striker pin. I have some rando spring from a mishmash pack that fit, but I was hitting 470 with FS and no go blender action with roundball with the low impact valve. Gonna do some extensive testing at Monster Game this weekend. It's definitely going to be a close quarters castle sweep tool, that's for sure!

What's the spring doing in yours? Barrel articulating too early or what?

Not articulating at all now 😁

I could throw the barrel spring back in and see if the old valve and HP spring combo was the real fix, but it's completely working now.

                        Ok, back from Monster Game...

It ran like a top with a new problem though. There is something wrong with the seat or pierce pin. I'm guessing more of the pierce pin since I'm giving it quite a good amount of ugga duggas. It stays charged up for chrono but if it sits, I might be without any CO2 like 20 mins later. That's not optimal. I'll have to take the valve assembly apart to see what's going on. I did notice that the tops of my 12g look like it's pushed open rather than poked open. (If that makes sense?)

So without further diagnosis, it seems like it's piercing but not getting a good seal against seat since it isn't getting enough pressure due to not enough travel into the piercer.
