You need to install this regulator piston in a classic valve automag to use a level 10 bolt http://www.airgundesigns.com/product-p/000684.htm or else it will vent out the back with each shot.

The Dye M3's FL-21 valve is functionally unique to any other firing valve in paintball due to its "chamber-sensing" function that biases the shot chamber against itself + spring tension + surface area to give the rearward offset at rest.
Thus, the valve functions similarly to a regulator piston.

In the PE Gamma Core, the solenoid doesn't directly communicate with the bolt or firing valve, as in other spool systems. The system functions like a set of dominos, with one action creating a reaction, so on and so forth. The only thing the solenoid does in that system is vent the small chamber behind the switch, which initiates the firing cycle. After that, everything sequences automatically based on the shot chamber pressure, surface area and flow rate.

Little known details between the Gamma Core and Gamma Pro (CS2) Core:
The primary objective with the GP was to improve efficiency by way of reducing venting losses, primarily referencing the rear switch chamber that gets vented each cycle. Since the switch stroke determines the vent volume and the switch stroke = valve stroke/lift, the only way to reduce the stroke was to move from a spool seal to a poppet seal in the front of the firing valve, which opens to feed the guide. So, the entire reason the GP valve has a poppet face was to accommodate the shorter switch stroke, which was done to reduce the venting losses by 50%.

The ULT on/off assembly for the RT valve / X valve automags is not compatible with the classic automag valve. It can be forced to work, but it doesn't really work.
However, the stock RT valve on/off assembly http://www.airgundesigns.com/product-p/000816.htm does work with the classic mag (all but rather old valves) and will reduce the pressure needed to pull the trigger.
Whether you like the feel of the RT on/off is personal preference, but most importantly, it will allow booyeah or centerflag or MAKO sear tripping E frames to work on the automag without their original reduced power on/off assembly.
