Only only just getting up to speed with the lathe, but I'm still way green with the mill.

Here's a thought, and this ties in your recreating ancient seals project. If your efforts end up revitalizing interest in using the Dynaflow regs, what about mounts purpose built for them? Legend has it that the Dynaflows were prone to breaking their dovetails. Mostly because people ran them on rails that did not engage the full length of the dovetail in the reg body. I believe this is why on the later versions Centerflag made the rail a replaceable part that bolts to the reg body. I have never been successful in finding a good off the shelf rail setup that gripped the entire dovetail and also positioned the tank how I wanted. So I ended up just making my own.

The first one I made just locked with a set screw pushing downward which isn't ideal. The second one where the dovetails spread and force full engagement is the way to go. The gas thru feature could be eliminated from the second one and slim it down in the vertical direction. **DISCLAIMER** I do some weird stuff sometimes and it is quite possible the market for this is exactly zero customers.

I made a mount a lot like that for a Dyna way back when:

The date on that pic is 2006. I still have that gun, too, with an STD LPR.

Never really thought about making more tank mounts, since nobody really uses mounted tanks anymore. And there's a metric ton of competition for rails, POPs and even just ducktails.

I certainly could, of course, though I have a lot of other stuff on this list to burn through first.

That's really similar, I like that. Made my first one somewhere in the 06-08 timeframe. Quite possible I saw that picture back then and got inspired.

-You guys have no idea how much I want to work on that, even just to develop a finished model, let alone get something marketable. The folder of physical drawings and notes is literally an inch and a half thick, and I have four boxes of parts and materials out in the shop.

I have every intention on completing it as a project, and doing everything in my power to get at least some to market, but at the same time, I still have to earn a living along the way, to say nothing of getting more experience with these production machines.

          Stand by, it's coming.

I feel like these may actually sell well, I bet a lot of the Rangastock crew would be interested in some fast changers.

-I've actually had that on the list since even before I got my CNCs, since Palmer seemed to regularly be out of stock.

I can sure give some a try, but my list is already pretty long.

-Replied by PM, of course, but just for the sake of the thread, yes. Wasn't able to finish them up this weekend, but I should have 'em heading your way in the next couple of days.

I don't know if it's been suggested yet, but a new revolving 12 gram changer or a agd six pack.

There's not a huge demand for something like this, but an old Angel to Autococker barrel adapter ring like Autocockerparts.com used to sell. It's a simple threaded ring that threads over the Angel barrel and allows the barrel to thread into an Autococker threaded marker. Here's a pic of the one I've got:

If one could be created with wrench flats, that would make it 10x better. There may not be enough room to make it happen, but it would be great.

Glad this thread came back up. For those waiting on something from me, there's been a little delay. I picked up an eye infection a couple of weeks back- just one eye, thankfully, and not my dominant one- but it's cut my shop time back. I have something that's basically like a large medicated contact lens in there now, and will 'til early next week. For the moment that eye is like looking through waxed paper. I should be back up to 100% by midweek next, but it's put a bit of a damper on my shop production.

I can still work, I just have to be more careful- no real depth perception at the moment - and for the trickier stuff, I've set that aside 'til I'm fully binocular again.

Still getting things out the door, just maybe a touch slower than before. Should be back up to full speed early/mid next week.

              Doc.

Thanks for the update Doc. Hope yah feel better soon.

I think it would be cool to fab up some reg seats for a PBC brand matrix LPR. The seal from my buddy's matrix is 20 years old. The chrono readings weren't terrible but after 20 years I think it's time for an overhaul. Or if someone can tell me what durometer the rubber should be I will get a punch set and try to make it myself.

Are the PBC brand LPRs similar to the Trinity? Or related? I used a ANS Jackhammer seat and it worked fine.
