    What’s everyone’s grail paintball marker?

It’s as simple as that has it changed as time went on or has it been that one marker that’s always been out of reach? So far mine has been the same since I was 15 years old always wanted a double barrel auto cocker. And I know I don’t need it but come one its to cool not to want. But I’m curious to see what’s everybody’s different taste!

At this point in my paintball career I've either owned them, sold them or built them.

There's three at this point I'm trying to track down a cocker i machined in highschool metal shop back in 99 and sold in or around 2003. See below.

The other two are barely known very obscure prototype guns....

A kapp prototype kinda cocker that integrated everything into the front block and cocked through a sled in the middle of the body.

    And

A powelyte isis, i was given one to field years ago at an event and it was just impressive. Smart parts killed the gun during their lawsuits and nothing ever became of them.

I'm now fortunate enough to have owned most of my grails as an adult and found that they weren't all great as I had hoped for. For example, I always wanted an XMag but it's so heavy compared to some of my other Mags that it's more of just a collector's gun for me. In my youth the Dark Angel was it, but as an adult I much prefer the Viking or Excalibur. I find as I get older and build/play with different great guns my choices refine.

My favorites so far: Any Pneumag SPAR valve'd, 2K Blazer, Bob Long G6R, BL MVP, CCM T2, Pyre, Viking, Excalibur. I still want an Ehm & a Torque.

When you do and if you can, get a quad rod CCM.

I sold my Gothic A1 Fly and I do regret it. Maybe not as much as the G7 with bombs on the side, but still.

    But

I have decided I shouldn't own any of them.
I'd just ding em up and feel bad. 😆

So I stick to Emeks, Ethas and my Phantom.

I feel a little too basic just going with a Karnivore, so instead I think I'll cast my vote to the Russian Legion Shocker. A close second would be a x-valve Automag.

My grail was apparently never a production marker: Lime green vertical feed 2k2 Shoebox Shocker, but according to Ecap and a few other old heads it was just slapped together for advertisement pictures and never actually hit the sales floor.

My "one that got away" grail marker is an original FreeFlow Lotus in gold ano. I bought it a few months before I rage quit paintball in 2006 and never really got to enjoy it. It was such a beautiful marker and I've never seen another in the same condition.

Riot I'm unsure, that does sound vaguely familiar. He had a ton of Shockers so most likely it's him.

The SL66 was the coolest gun ever when I started playing, and the Bushwhacker SL66 has always been my favourite PL Ego. I even owned one briefly many years ago, but I was in my peak Buy/Sell days.

I haven't shot an electro in years, but to this day I want one.

Luckily I held on to these and my Automags. These are a good consolation prize since I'll never own an Aardvark Entity or Tequila Sunrise.

I always wanted to do a full custom Automag back in the day; Lvl 10/X valve, pneuframe, ULE everything, anno, the works. It was always way out of reach for me back then just mowing lawns and nowadays it's hard to justify with just how good spoolie mechs have become. Maybe someday I'll go through with it but for now I'm content with my classic mag.

Runner up is the Dye DMC. I know it'a just a DM5 with some plastic stuck to it but it just looked so dang cool in the Dye cataloge.

Maybe one day I'll buy another regular "new" Grey Ghost and have it re-annodized and lasered.

Really I just have two former guns id like to get back, A most rediculous pump mag that had the most buttery smooth pump stroke ever complete setup was a black centerfed ULE with DYE 10" SS, DYE .45 in chrome, LVL 7 valve, and setup as a VSC with CCI bucket and an AM stock feed. The other is a PGP converted Stroker by PPS, complete mayhem wrapped up nearly as small as possible. I wrecked a lot of people days with those two pieces of gear.

Warped X-mag. They were always out of my budget, and now that I have the budget, they don't come on the market. I hesitated on an ebay listing that had the warp breach and missed out. I'll probably never forgive myself...
