I'm too practical to buy a thing that can't get scratches, but there's still one out there...

I saw a red/black acid CCM S6.5 a long while ago, thick 45 frame. One of the CCI washes. Having that and a matching Phantom VSC with a T-stock would be a pretty sweet combo.

That or a very specific Bushmaster that I loaned out and never got back. Olive hard ano, lever stock, long snub, and a Powerlyte kit turned down to fit. That was a rough one to lose.

I've been lucky enough to acquire allot of the grails that I've seen over the years. Having Carter or PPS actually make me a gun to my spec has been on the list since i learned they existed (1994?). now kicking myself for not having gone through with that. Thanks to MCB and ebay I've managed to get my hands on a couple great examples that have mostly scratched that itch..... mostly
This carter cocker came up for the second time on MCB a few months ago and I really, really should have bought it. its one of the few guns that it really hurts to think i could have PM'd and gotten -twice. just a wonderful example of pre dye carter style. whomever bought it.... I will take it off your hands should you ever want to sell!

At least for now the next grail resides in my head - i can finally do my own ano, and am slowly acquiring some tooling and building my skills to DIY my way to a few awesome pieces. Someday I would like to build out a nelson based pump from scratch, mill a cocker, and solder and mill up a couple of brass masterpieces.

Like Doc and others have said, I'll build mine. In twenty or so years.
I live in an apartment, and don't own so much as a drill press, but I'm working on an e-p Micromag (it shoots and leaks, but programming is a thing I don't know), a pneumag, am determined to make an AGA .62 shoot .68, a custom brass abomination, and still have a Nightmare I want to play on the field with.
Those are the hard AND money projects. The rest are just money projects.
I've owned some really cool stuff (in my mind), though!

i wanna make some DSG style bodies that take phantom internals purely for the "slam fire shotgun" feels😁
ive done some sketches and loose planning
but i think it would be easy to convert a hammer7-ish layout into a underbarrel springfeed with a 12g dropout infront of the trigger (would relocate the trigger rearward). have a few ideas to make the spring feed more reliable and the ergos might even be nicer/closer to real steel

Fir at least the last couple years I've been trying to find a pro competition rapide or even an alligator. The truck is finding them complete more than anything else. I'm not interested in buying a part and waiting 5 years for another one to pop up. One of these days...

Mine will always be David Loo's personal Kamikaze Shooter Desert Duck that went up for auction several years ago and sold for $8,700. Chances of me ever getting my hands on it are next to impossible.

I'd also love to get my hands on a California Cobra which is probably just as impossible as the only one I've ever seen for sale it's on Dan Bacci's website but it's an incomplete one.
I also wouldn't mind owning a William Shatner limited edition Action Markers Illusion

Otherwise I've already owned a couple of grails, the one that I'd like to get back someday is the VM space gun and I happen to know where it is but it would cost me a fortune to get it back

For nostalgia reasons and the fact I could never afford it as a kid back in the mid 90's mine was the Red,White,Black splash anno'd Mini-Mag. I absolutely loved that thing for reasons unknown. This one was on ebay at one point but I never pulled the trigger 🤦‍♂️

I was a gear whore when I was a kid and am fighting the urge to repeat that mistake again already. My first dream gun back in the day was a Lapco Grey Ghost. Pumps were already out of favor, but I had an old Black Widow that served me well given the paint quality at our field. I never found a ghost. I went through many obsessions afterward, but the only other gun I dreamed of having, but never got, was an Evo X cocker after the vert feed became standard. I missed the window where they were really cheap it seems, but I plan to get one if I keep playing. I did have a right feed for a while, but it didn't scratch the itch.

I have a mechanical and an electro........ICE Epic DV8 and a Macdev Cyborg RX in green. I remember thinking that the ICE Epic was such a cool design when I was a teenager. As for the Cyborg, I've always wanted to own one, but the RX I feel like is the pinnacle of Cyborg design. I've wanted one since they came out.

I thought the same about the Epic, and that's why I also have 2. Don't have the electro though, that's gotta be super rare.

Mine was always a Waffle Shocker SFT. I didn't buy one when they were bouncing around for $400 - $500 on PBN back in the day, but I did manage to acquire one with a large lot purchase just a few years ago. I think it had only been used a handful of times and I couldn't bring myself to take it to the field, so I ended up passing it along to friend who has a sizable collection of wall-hangers. Funny enough, it was the DM6 that was in that same purchase that I wish I had held onto.

Like most, I've been fortunate enough (or financially reckless enough) to own pretty much all of my grails. The main ones being both Avratech pumps and the Chris Shanks Spine autococker. And most of what I haven't owned I was able to enjoy through our store's museum (like the Evil Omen).

At this point I think the only thing I'd really be interested in is an Alien Deception.

Since the Carter Duck and Gargoyle have been acquired already. I really want Peter Clark's custom bore drop Carter Maximaster.

I don’t know if I’d call it a grail but I’ve always wanted a Dark Impulse. I’ve owned a few pl Impulses but never a Dark.

Mine is an Eclipse Automag RT, in literally any ano pattern they offered. I don’t think they sold very many, and I bet most of them stayed overseas. I’ve seen only ONE pop up in the states in the past 15-20 years on the forums, a beautiful “Banzai Green” one on Automag Org years ago.
